Congratulations folks, enjoy the partying. You know what, as much as I know it's going to hurt all next Season from a Steelers fans perspective (already prepared for the season long "Hey Steelers" and "Show us your Trophies!") it was actually quite nice to think of joy today's vistory brought to the numerous cracking Panthers fans I have met over the years. To see the delight in the faces of Heanor Lair, BJ & Annie after the game was surprisingly satisfying. Well done, I'm sure you'll all have a happy off season. Many thanks Glynn and indeed to all the Steelers fans who've congratulated us. We know only too well it isn't nice to see your archrivals celebrating like that. Not that we're going to let you forget it in a hurry. PS - That's some nice editing of your quote in your signature there Glynn. Yeah, on all points Kim..... I stayed till Clarkie lifted the trophy and skated over to your fans, like most non-Panthers the sound of "We are the Champions" was probably the best time to let you go on celebrating without us.

Anne and I just got back to Alnwick (look it up!) ... What a weekend, so glad we came down. BIG smiles!! I can't start to describe how I'm feeling, I'll leave it til tomorrow. But thank you Panthers, thank you very much. And thanks to the random Vipers fan at Woolley Edge services who joined us in a 'Championees' chant then played us Chelsea Dagger in the car park ;D BJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ! Glad you two made it back safely, as I said earlier it was nice to see you both so happy after the game mate. Hope to see you soon (when we're up your neck of the woods), hey I might even buy you both a celebratory drink..... although maybe it should be the other way round! ;D

Congratulations from another Steeler...Thoroughly deserved I think. Most of the Panthers fans I saw over the weekend will vouch that I was with you guys 100% and loved every minute of it ;D ;D Indeed! In fact the photo of you on the BBC Nottingham site has the caption "Panthers fans at the NIC" . THanks Kai and the other Steelers(Panthers) fans for your comments and hugs By the way (whilst we're waiting for Dave) there are also some photos up on one of the official press photographers site ( DDImaging). Click the relevant game in the box on the right to get the photos listed.

My first season as a fan and my first playoff was in 1989. Mine too! Boy my head hurts this morning. Don't think I'll be the only one suffering from that particular ailment in Nottingham today though. ;D Never get drunk when your kids are likely to wake you up at 6 in the morning! ;D

Best birthday present ever!!!! Wow what a weekend. Glad the penalties are on You Tube as I couldn't bear to watch, spent most of the time hiding behind my jersey!!!! Thanks to the guys behind us for the champagne shower. Not stopped smiling since. Oh and Grumpy says don't get drunk when your GIRLFRIEND is likely to wake you at 6 in the morning (just coz its her birthday and she's excited).
Now I need to go back to find my voice as that is definitely still in block 7 coz I can't find it this morning!!!!
A big thank you to Panthers players, coaches, and fans and all the fans from around the country that came to make the weekend what it was.

Yay!!!!!! Congratulations to everyone involved on the team... and the fans. It was a true team effort yesterday. We won!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of everyone!!! After so many near misses, we had to do it, and what a game!
I'm going to put my Panthers shirt in my car, so that everyone sees it as I drive down to London - LOUD AND PROUD!!
I'm very disappointed I didn't see it on the national news. How are we supposed to get coverage in this country!! Still, thanks for posting all the pictures up so I can re-live those moments!! I'm not going to forget them in a hurry!!

I thought mrsminer would be shattered and hungover after all the beer and excitement. Thought she would sleep till about 10 ......but no... she was up with the sun. I didn't even have time to put up the '40th' balloons and banners, I had bought. Back to topic then. What a weekend! What a fantastic feeling!! Not really much more to say except THANK YOU to Ellie, Calle and the players as we begin our domination of British Ice Hockey ;D (hpoefully!!)

Pinch me, I might wake up soon! ;D
I cannot describe how I'm feeling, It hasn't sunk in properly yet, probably won't do until I'm at the arena this afternoon. I know we've had some disappointments in the past, but days like yesterday is what makes following this team so special. They don't come round that often but it feels incredible when it does.
Thank you Nottingham Panthers.

Well done Mike Ellis and the boys. 18 years is a long time between championships. Lets not have to wait that long again.
It's going to be a slightly easier 5 months now knowing we are the Play-Off champions, but can't wait for next season to start.
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Neil Black for thinking out of the box and bringing Mike Ellis here. Also for signing Ellie for next season before this success.

What a day! Its only just sinking in, god knows what people thought of me and my mate last night. We were very, very drunk but the team were awesome. Clarke let us take photos of ourselves drinking out of the trophy. We met all the players and had a chat with them, some conversations made no sense on account of both parties being drunk but its all good fun I have the pics of me and my friend with the trophy but ive no idea how to get them on here Anyway awesome stuff and what a great bunch of guys, especially Jan who not only posed for pics with us but was a generally very friendly guy. Thank you ellis and the panthers ;D ;D ;D Think i cracked the photo thing..... i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/thisiswhere/woooooooooooooooo.jpg i161.photobucket.com/albums/t205/thisiswhere/trophyness.jpg

I am genuinely pleased for you all.
It's a great feeling isn't it. I stayed and enjoyed all the celebrations before going in to the press conference, I could see the emotion in your faces. It's been a long wait. Enjoy it.
See you all soon.
