Wow! I've just had THE best day!! Had so much fun. I was just happy we knocked the Steelers out so was prepared for if we didn't make it tonight, however the feelings of excitement, nerves, pride, happiness, scared (in case we lost) & every other feeling I & every other Panthers fan felt completely override any feeling I had about not being "bothered" about today & have realised that I was clearly just trying to make myself feel better in case we lost!
But anyway, we flipping well did it!
The crowd were amazing, everyone who cheered who batted a balloon or 10 around, who starting the chants, who continued the chants, who laughed, who did (or almost) cried - THANKYOU!! Hoping this is the first of many (maybe I shouldn't speak so soon & just enjoy this)!
I've just read on Steeltalk something about us not shutting up on the first Panthers v Steelers match next season, too right! Steelers you'd better believe it we'll be singing as loud & proud as we did today, so long as Dan Tessier's taking an early trip to the golf course!!
Anyway, the team are great, the fans are amazing! Stay loud, stay proud & most of all stay failthful! After all Ellis is our leader - we have to trust him after his "bad" decisions which have turned out to be so right!!
We are number one!!!!!!!

Wow!!! What a weekend. The final whistle, the celebrations on the ice, the players on the balcony at Bolero Square, Ryan chucking beer onto us from the cup, Danny playing golf, Rasto coming down into the square and having his photo taken with everyone who asked, the players coming into the bar, one by one to a massive cheer, seeing old friends and greeting everyone with '18 years!', setting up a new religion called 'Rastofarianism'.............. I don't think I've stopped smiling since.

Congratulations folks, enjoy the partying.
You know what, as much as I know it's going to hurt all next Season from a Steelers fans perspective (already prepared for the season long "Hey Steelers" and "Show us your Trophies!") it was actually quite nice to think of joy today's vistory brought to the numerous cracking Panthers fans I have met over the years.
To see the delight in the faces of Heanor Lair, BJ & Annie after the game was surprisingly satisfying.
Well done, I'm sure you'll all have a happy off season.

Seems a long time since I saw them lift this championship at Wembley in 1989. Completely drained. Proud as punch. Can't get down off cloud nine. Congratulations EVERYONE. Bragging rights over you know who - fantastic.

Many thanks Glynn and indeed to all the Steelers fans who've congratulated us. We know only too well it isn't nice to see your archrivals celebrating like that. Not that we're going to let you forget it in a hurry. PS - That's some nice editing of your quote in your signature there Glynn.

What a weekend, so glad we came down.
BIG smiles!!
I can't start to describe how I'm feeling, I'll leave it til tomorrow. But thank you Panthers, thank you very much.
And thanks to the random Vipers fan at Woolley Edge services who joined us in a 'Championees' chant then played us Chelsea Dagger in the car park ;D
