Oh I don't know there's a fiar bit of scope for those of us who have been aronud long enough to remember the likes of Shaun Farley, Tyler Larter or Danny Bissonnette.

It's funny looking back how certain names spring to mind, like Larter & Farley, but they must have been doing something right. Larter got 13 points in 5 games and Farley 15 in 6. I thought they managed about four between them ;D Then there was Pete Chiarelli of course. The worst I can rmember just have to be Ian Morgan and Chris Keward (the season he played on D). The most inept skaters you could imagine. I wrote about Chris of that season on D:- "He turned out for 43 games in 86/87 season, recording an assist and two pims, although how he got close enough to anybody to collect a penalty remains a mystery to me!." Boy was hockey a laugh occasionally in those far off days ;D

I'd forgotten about Ian Morgan but in his defence he did have one shift where he checked Brebant, knocked the referee over & had a shot on goal so he can't have been all bad.

Larter got 13 points in 5 games Yes but pre season challange games don't count ;D - he didn't make the regular season being cut in favour of Ross Lambert before the first "proper" game!!

Ian Morgan, now theres a player id banished out of my head! Forgave him tho cos he was Neils brother lol.
Id say Adolfssen needs a mention in there. Dont see why Lavigne was on the list, he wasnt that bad!

Well, in absolute terms any of the lads who played in the first couple of seasons after reformation - they were local boys playing for fun essentially. But if we're talking "worst player relative to how good they should have been" I go for Pete Chiarelli - poor skater, no strength on the puck, no shot. Never enough punch or quality to lead the team as imports needed to do back then.

13 points from 4 games? How is that considerd bad I presume you are referring to Ciarelli? 13 points in 4 would be great now, but it was different for imports back then. He did not look like having the goalscoring threat required of an import forward, simple as that. One of his games was a 15-something home win over a very poor Dundee Tigers side and he managed the grand total of 1 goal. He did not fit the bill, it was obvious to everyone in the stands and presumably to coach Dampier as well. That's why he tops my list. Incidentally, as an illustration, he had an average of 3.25 points per game (and of 1.0 goals per game), when we were trying to replace Perlini, who averaged 4.7 the previous year and Keyes (supposedly the "grafter") with 3.7. Ciarelli's replacement, Craig Melancon, averaged 4.4 and the following season Adey had 4.3 and Durdle (a D man) 3.7.
