As you know I'm moving house, having been settled here for a while longer than normal postings the amount of clutter I've collected is getting silly. But I couldn't be without some of it. Feeling low after last nights game I set to sorting out the spare room and packing some stuff up. Then I come across the NEP I saved from the day after the Challenge Cup win in 2004 .... happy days There's way much more stuff ... including a huge six foot poster from the 'Coupe de Europe' in Amiens that is still rolled up as I havent a wall large enough to display it! Anything else interesting I unearth I shall let you know. For now enjoy this clipping from 2004 ... What crap do you have squirreled away? I bet theres some obscure stuff out there!

I've got all the programmes from all the home games I've been to, 5 years back now!! Some have pages and pictures missing from when I used to stick them on my school books to make them more interesting!! Will have a look sometime to see what else I've got!! I know I've got a few newspaper clippings.

I have 3 newspaper clippings on the internal window above my bed.
1) The night Randall Weber scored a hat trick at the MEN to stun the Storm in cup. 2) THAT night in Newcastle with the toothless grin of Chocolate Bob. 3) Mick Holland's report on the bench clearance.
All memories that don't fade.

I have heaps of stuff back at home - loads of programmes and newspaper clippings, including the one from my very first game!! Piles of tickets, old season ticket, leaflets from games, a flower from Eric Lavigne (I believe) dried and pressed!!!
The most notable and important things are in one box and it makes me happy everytime I open it, the memories come flooding back. My mum is on at me to clear out my "junk" but there is no way that box is going on any rubbish tip in my lifetime.
People say you only need the memories in your mind, but those things mean a lot to me.

My fave prized Panthers items are my 3 'exclusive' signed team photos, from the 3 seasons I did PAWS. I was allowed to attend the annual team photo shoots, & had a photo taken in the line-up with the players, minus the PAWS head. Only 1 of each of these photo's exist, they are all fully signed, & have pride of place on my landing wall. As a fan of a team, you can't buy your way onto the team photo.... ;D
I also have the 'game worn' PAWS # 99 home jersey, from last year.

back on topic, this was before my time before anyone asks, but the last game of the original panthers back in 1959-1960, saw our beloved panthers manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and lose the british championship on home ice in overtime. sound familiar? hope the scan is good enough to read. stef you weren't on the penalty bench at the game were you? thanks BJ!

Ho, and moreover, ho. Since you ask, I was a few weeks away from popping into this world.

heck i was was born in the 60s too, so i don't usually throw stones. glass houses and all that. not sure how readable it is but i thought of you when the report mentions the fighting continuing at the penalty bench and the time keepers and off-ice staff getting involved.
