Steve Roberts – sure fire goalscorer who had just got into a groove when he suffered a season ending injury.
Paul Moran – has established himself as one of our best British players despite having the additional expectations that come from being the manager’s son.
Barry Nieckar/Jason Clarke – for those of us with memories of the old days when we used to get pushed around by the north-eastern teams in particular, it was great to have players on the team that you knew other players were scared of.
Nick Boynton – in my humble opinion the best of the NHLers who came over here in the lock out. He was pretty good in the regular season, but the way he raised his game in the play-offs to stellar levels, as NHLers do in the Stanley Cup, will long stay in my memory.

Jarkko Kortesoja...my brain had tried to forget him. Without question the worst netminder I have ever had the misfortune of watching in a Panthers shirt. I'll never forget his attempted kick save of a shot flying towards the top corner. Oh dear.
If only Steve Roberts hadn't done his shoulder he'd have been AMAZING for us (probably for a few years too) just a shame that that wrecked his career, he was going places.

Pasi Unkuri, my all time unsung hero! Agreed about Steve Roberts but without sounding pedantic he was only good when he was number12, he started going downhill when he was #41! Defo something special about that #44!
