i have FINALLY got a list of available icetime and requirements from the arena !!!
now, the times available are *fairly* consistant, and once our foot is in the door, obv we will get the oppertunity of more icetime.
however, the *team* has to be fully registered with EIHA, and we need a level 2 coach... no mention of a first aider so i guess thats supplied by the nic themselves...
now, what i need to know is who is preppared the pay the yearly fee to join the EIHA, its £40 a year if its your first team, cant quite remember what it is if its your 2nd tema, think its about 15 pounds or something ?
the ice time will usually be between 9 and 10 on a sunday, and abouts £10 per session... depending on numbers who turn up !
anyone know of a level 2 coach available ?
really want to get this going now, i do NOT want aload of maybe's who let me down, so only put your name on the list if your 100% up for it,
ooo i forgot to say, this is arena ice... and also beginners are welcome, the aim is to have a intermediate/advanced line and a beginner line, with forced line changes so there is no confusion.... untill veryoen is upto speed !
no no deadline mate, but the first open slot is 27th jan, i seriously doubt we'll be ready to rock by then, and the more slots we miss the more likelly someone else is to jump in.
im hopin we have enough sorted to make our first session the 17th feb, so gives us a full month to get the ball well and truelly rolling !
there is no rush to fill the roster as such, just if there is not enough numbers for the first few sessions we might have to cough up a little bit more... for the likes of us that are already playing up in sheffield, even if its £15 each... its still cheaper than the trip up north ?
Nightmares, yeah complete kit is required before you can step on the ice with pucks, post up what you have/need alot of people are real friendly and can borrow you kit if its only the odd bit needed while you are getting started !
ofcourse rich, cant see a problem with that at all !
i want to send the form asap, Nottingham Raptors and Nottingham Knights seem the 2 most popular, and as rich has said carries the possibility of an easy sponsorship ride... so which is it gunna be ?
Jay, once the team is registered propperly i will have individual player registration forms to hand out, you fill it in and hand over 40 quidish and your registered and insured for the year, any additional teams after that are approx 12 quid or summert...
if ya continue to play in ice sheffield you'll need to register with them anyway, however in at ice sheffield it is not a requirement to be a registered team nor to have a level 2 coach ! and the team havent finnished getting everyone registered yet...
