If not many were down take your kit next week, ask for Glossy or Roman and ask if you can get on. They may so no but theres no point going down again without your kit. Becky, its Szablewski Yeh I didn't know that! I won't attempt to say it lol! I think if you're insured elsewhere it is ok for you to train with them straight away. I know someone that went down a few weeks ago that were just starting out but they weren't allowed on because they weren't registered/insured so they had to fill in some forms. Whereas if you're registered/insured with another team Kev I'm sure they'd let you on straight away... but i'm not 100% sure so don't hold me to it! All they make sure is that they're covered if something happens and their insurance isn't voided by someone which isn't registered/insured already. Also, with the amount of people going on the ice being a pretty small amount lately, i'm sure they'd be more than happy for you to go on. Regarding what happened last Monday, they were late on because the zamboni stopped working during the ice cut before they went on... then there was a problem with the speakers as they were turned on and kept blasting tunes and strange noises! But apart from that...

Hmm well I should be going down tomorrow night so do you want me to ask if you'd be allowed on when they return after Christmas? It'll save you the journey going down tomorrow but you can still go down if you wanted to.
So basically, you're not registed or insured with anyone but you want to start training with them? If that's the case, I think there's a form to fill in and you may have to pay an insurance or registering charge but i'm not 100% sure on that but I can ask Roman or someone tomorrow night.

If your not registered you will need to fill out a registration form, supply 3 passport photos and photocopy of your driving license, plus pay the £40 registration fee.
You will need to collect the registration form so would probably be best to pop along tomorrow, as Becky points out Roman is who you need to talk to he recently took over registration responsibilities.

I spoke to Gloss about it tonight, and he said that you'd need to fill in the registration form as puckhead stated, but you should be able to find this on the EIHA website and work from there. However I'm sure it'd probably make more sense to get this from Roman as he'll know what to do registering-wise and get it done correctly!

Woah, i went down last night and there was hardly anyone there, probably a really good time to go is now, everyone was knackered on the ice and with no one on the bench to come off it was like "oh, lets just have a rest" lol. Hopefully ill be suited and booted by xmas so its time to get my insurance sorted.

I didn't think the turnout was any worse than the past few weeks. Still a fairly small amount though, but this'll probably go up after x-mas when people can afford to go!

I would say a turnout of 25ish is typical with anywhere between 6 - 8 on a each bench waiting / recovering. The last 3 or 4 weeks have been very quiet, with a few weeks ago there being 1 person sat on each bench, (best night I've encountered so far). There is a couple of weeks off now over Christmas, we never play on a bank holiday, (or when NIC is shut! ;D)
