It was a shame they got cancelled in the end, but it was because of the panthers - steelers game on the same day. We had a special promotion with them where we got some cheap tickets for students that we could sell, with the bears getting a small amount from each ticket. This came along with the penalty shoot out in the intermission (us vs the mavericks, which the mavericks won, by the way). Because of the shoot out we had to cancel the game in the evening. The afternoon one was then also cancelled, because the idea behind this was to have both the a and b newcastle games on the same day so they could travel down together and so save them some money on buses. We'll be trying to get the same set up when we re-arrange the games, so they are both on the same day.
As far as I know, we do have two games this weekend: Sheffield Bears A vs Cambridge Blues Sheffield Bears B vs Manchester Metros
I'll post when these fixtures are confirmed/have been played.

Updated... thanks Rich. The RAF game is supposed to be huge, posters were printed ages ago, tickets have been selling fast. And its all for a good cause, especially at this time of year. Its supposed to be televised and will appear on the regional news. If anyone wants tickets, please let me know. I believe they are £5, with all that going to the charity.
Good luck this weekend to all the local teams!

Newcastle Coyotes seem to have a reputation as being quite tasty dont they?
Are they as good as I hear?
I want to play rec up here in the North East, Coyotes have good ice time but I wouldn't want to be out of my depth or a liability to a good team ....
Coach Rich ... have you seen them? What d'you think? Wish I could get back to Ice Tigers .... maybe I'll buy the franchise and move you all up here! ;D

BJ, one of my mates plays for the coyotes. The Elite linesman, Dave Farren plays for them, but he is like their star player. It is a very mixed team, with some very beginners. From what I've heard, the Coyotes are a very freindly team, other teams are more clicky. This is taken from the Basingstoke Hyenas game I saw last Summer, and they had no clue who I was, but still spent the day with them. If you want contact details, let me know.

Rach, would appreciate contact details via PM. Many thanks.
The ethos of that team seems a sound one on looking at their website. I dont like clicky teams but from what you say about Coyotes it could be a way forward for me.
