This is a bit random but its relivant to the cage locker room....im just wondering how you other hockey players choose which numbers to wear on your jerseys etc? date of birth? another players number who you liked watching? cheers tomo

Also like 28 (Date of Birth) 3 (March) and 89 (year I was born).

1 of the hardest decision i had to make i think. mainly because the number i;ve always wanted was taken so i had to find another and that was hard.

i no what you mean pete, i firstly wanted 17 because thats my day of birth...then 94 but i met rich and he had that number....then it was originally 26 becuase of st.louis of tampa bay but for a strange and unknown reason i settled on #21 lol

Well i did want 72 as Jinman was the player i liked, but then i decided to have something that is to do with me, so i chose 84 which is the year i was born.

Always liked 94 for some reason.Ryan Smyth and Dennis Maxwell wear it but I dont really think im like either! Used to wear 44 til Ashfield when Gloss wore it.Alot depends on the role i play for the team and the position I play but 91(Zuke)and 27(hadden/Leachy) would be 2 good numbers if I played F.
Good thread tho,some good stories behind numbers

Was always 11 as its teh footy number i got when i was 6
But since the arrival of my nephew
ive changed to 18 as jack was born on the 7th so i added 11+7 on the calculator and got 18 ;D
