Hi im 22, love panthers and love game, i start uni at nottingham in march 2007, hoping to play for mavericks, i have no playing experiance and jus learning to skate, can anyone give me advise on how to prepare myself an tips on learning, i know mavericks take total begginers but would like to have wee bit of understanding,lol

Get some SkateUK skating grades done if you can mate, then do what I did and chuck yerself in at the deep end! You'll pick loads up just training with others, even if they're far more advanced, and a good coach will pull you aside if you're going wrong and give you the pointers you need. Watch, listen, and skate your @rse off mate ... you'll be okay (As an aside ... how big are you? I may be able to help you out with some kit to get you going - its old and beat up stuff but its what I scraped together to start off with and replaced as time went on)

im 5ft 9 an 11 stone, so medium i think, bit small for a hockey player i guess,lol, but jus wana givem it a go, sport is awesome thank you for your help do you still play?

PM me and let me know whereabouts in Lincoln you are ... This kit may well fit you. I've spent most of this season out injured after tearing a ligament in my knee. I should be back in a few weeks but unfortunately that coincides with my move Once you get hooked it's hell when you can't play
