thats a hard one, there are plenty down south. But as for nottingham you are out on a limb you could try virtual ice in rotherham. I know they do stuff like that.

But im my experience, dont do it the other way round lol! Ive been roller skating since i was about 6 or 7 but can't ice skate for the life of me! It actually really hurts my ankles and legs so much more compared to roller hockey! Maybe its just me.

it could be that your ice skates just are not tied properly, or if they are new they can sometimes hurt your feet untill you break them in.

Well to be honest i was renting the skates from the NIC ;D
I have only attempted ice skating twice, once in Sheffield years ago and i remember doing a bit better than i did in Nottingham!
I just found it so bloody hard with the metal spikes at the front as i lean forward when skating and found i was stopping everywhere! I know its different with proper skates, maybe i wouldnt be so bad if i had some!? Hmmm!
Also i found that the skates followed the tracks already left by others! I really did find it so different to Roller Hockey, its mad! LOL

I've been skating since I was 3, and I remember when I had to have my skates sharpened one time and needed hired ones, I couldn't skate for the life of me! Better than not skating at all though!

Ice and Inline skating are completely different - dont let anyone tell you otherwise! I hear that the only thing in common is they go on ya feet.Plus the fact everytime you do a hockey stop you know in the back of your mind there goes another 3mm off me wheels and a fiver down the drain , just a good job i can only do them once in a blue moon. Thinking about it i dont know if roller world is still open down in Derby. Its a little errrrr well lets just say quirky but the floor used to be Ok. Should start the build a inline rink in Nottingham petition me thinks, but that wouldnt help you as it would be booked for hockey quicker than you could blink.
