Yeah, yeah. Everyone wants to be Boba Fett. How many of you deliberately answered the quote 'He's no good to me dead' in order to try and sway the result ? We all like to think of Fett as cool, but just remember his comedy death. His jet pack fired him into the side of a ship and he fell into the Sarlac Pit without any further ado. Considering he was in all three films (actually there's six isn't there ? And he was in Attack of the Clones technically), it was a bit of a lame death. Boba Fett DOES NOT DIE and that comes from George Lucas himself in the director's commentary on Jedi. Lucas intended to put the scene in where Fett manages to get out of the Sarlac pitt, but didn't in the end, as the whole importance of that scene is Jabba dying & Leia's coming of age.Fett isn't really important in the grand scheme of things, and Lucas said himself that " most people don't believe he [Fett] dies anyway."

Lucas is deluding himself (there's a turn up for the book - sic). EVERYONE thinks Fett died as the Pit burped after eating him ! The fact he didn't put the 'escape' in the film effectively means it didn't happen. Lucas is just backtracking now Fett has become so unexpectedly popular. If Fett didn't die, where was he for the rest of the film then ? Did he go 'Phew, that was close ! Best give up this bounty hunting malarkey as its frankly just too damn dangerous. I'll concentrate on my Ewok pimping sideline instead'. No, not buying it.

There is however no biting Fett in half, tearing him limb from limb or indeed anything to suggest that Fett is killed by the Sarlac. It's up to your whether you " buy it" or not, but Fett does get out of the Sarlac & that comes from the Star Wars creator himself. As for Fett's status after Jedi, he continues with bounty hunting & is horribly disfigured due to his exposure to the digestive system of the Sarlac, having to have one of his legs replaced with a cyborg implant.

Is there an Episode 7 pending then ? Dude, you need to mourn. Let go. We all miss him, but he's in a better place now. Really ;D
