I HATE wine..It's just poncey/posey vinegar. it's the most over-rated, & most pretentious drink ever!. each to their own I guess..but it's deffo not for me. I also detest Gin, that's the drink of the devil!. Pinky, you can't get Ribena & Vodka in a pub?. Just ask for Vodka & Blackcurrant, surely it's the same thing

French wine making has been transformed in recent years. Some really good white burgandies about now at very reasonable prices. Classed as country wines the price is low but the quality high, be they produced in bulk by modern methods or in small quantity in the more traditional way. Gotta agree on the French White MP Saint Veran is my fave but any Macon, even the village is pretty good, and the prices keep on dropping I'm actually a big fan of new world wines, esp. australian. Also enjoy the odd californian white as well. The white burgundy was a cracking deal got 6 bottles 1/2 price @ £5.49 from tesco a few weeks back. It was gorgeous, might still have the odd bottle left.

Yep, Tesco have some good white Burgundy, right across the price range. There's some very good French red being sold as Country wine these days too. Small quantities made from old vines grown on the foothills of the Pyrenees - well worth seeking out.

Carling is the most foul tasting lager I've ever drunk Amen to that, i hate the stuff. My favourite is... Rolling Rock, Becks and Corrona for Beer, Sambucca for spirits and i'm quite into white wine at the moment.
