Kadie - you should visit Lapland, its the best thing ever I would move out there in a shot and yes there was an ice rink near santas grotto (there is ice hockey in Finnish Lapland).
Its cooler than here at the moment and that is a bonus for me.
On a serious note though would love to live in Canada and hopefully will sometime soon.

Vancouver no doubt about it...
Great city, very clean. Not a bad hockey team. Could easily adapt to life there.
A hours drive from Whistler , awesome resort!!!!

I'd love to stay in Nottingham for the rest of my life, but if I were to move, it would be to either: Perth, Australia. Love it + I have relatives and friends out there. Colorado. Lovely city, and I support the Avs! Ottawa. Never visited Canada, but would love to and with Ottawa being the capital, that is an obvious choice!

- Florence, one of the best places in the world. - Anywhere in Arizona or New England, views to die for. County Mayo, Ireland. So relaxing, but the weather leaves a little to be desired. I'd actually go for West Bridgford, Nottingham to be honest, it's all good

2. scottish highlands preferable isle of skye totaly stunning The midges and clegs are pretty desperate from June through to October though. The climate in Alberta is superb and the mountains and scenery very fine. Just happens to be a long way from the sea.... Western seaboard of Canada is superb - wonderfull country to explore by boat or floatplane, but has months of wet, grey weather similar to our western coasts. South Island in New Zealand should be good. Think I could manage OK in the Lofoten Islands - seem a very nice place and some fine compact mountains giving good climbing.
