How did you arrange that one? None of the tablets I have at the minute work one bit Just go and tell the doc how much you suffer - what symptons you have been getting. I had this last year and 2 years prior to that. I only ask for it if the symptoms are really bad!

Sounds like one of the treatments you get dependent on your doctor or the practice they belong to. I know for sure my partner had a doc for 2 years in the UK and he never offered that and believe me she would go in there streaming and with an eye blown up the size of a golfball. Just gave her the same ineffectual meds.

Well I've always preferred winter (snow, hockey, snow, christmas, snow and snow ) but this years hayfever has just completely nailed my hate for the summer now. I have tablets and eyedrops, and this year nothings worked it seems to be getting worse each year now (I never used to have hayfever til like 2 years ago), i might enquire about this jab - if not for the rest of this year at least for next year!. I wake up most days lately looking like a relative of Quasimodo (sp?) as one eye swells up cause its so red and sore - I don't have the hunchback or live in a bell tower though ;D What's really getting me down though is the sore throat, I always get them anyway but they're made 10 times worse with the hayfever roll on winter...with snow ;D hehe

I sound so bad at the moment my colleague has just bought me in a Dick Dastardly toy, as she says I sound like Muttley. And I do. My husband is also considering moving into the spare room for a few weeks so he can actually get some sleep - apparently my throat whistles when I sleep. Attractive.
Going on a Norwegian cruise in a couple of weeks which should be fabulous - offshore in a country whose average summer temp is only 18 degrees. It's great when the thing you're looking forward to doing on your holiday is ..... breathing.

You might find this helpful. Basically most suffer from an allergy to grass pollen and the season runs from June til August. However it peaks in June with another smaller peak in early July. I used to get it bad as a kid but for the last few years I've been okay. I always knew I was safe once we hit July. In the last week it has hit me hard leading me to suffer the sneezes, itchy eyes and chesty cough/wheezing attacks. Because I spent 10 days in hospital with acute pneumonia a couple of years ago I have to be extra careful. According to the doctor this year is so bad it is threatening some people's lives. The pollen count is very high and is mixing with dreadful air pollution. You may have seen the pictures of the smog at Canary Wharf. If you're struggling to breath than I'd suggest you see a doctor. I've been told to keep the window shut at night (which is great when it's 25C at night!) and keep my inhaler near me. The pollen count is at its highest in the evening and early morning. A bad attack in your sleep could leave some of us in hospital........ or worse! The good news is hopefully it'll calm down within a couple of weeks. Until then, pray for nightly rain! FAQSunday's forecastCheers mum. Thanks for giving birth to me in February, two months before the hayfever season! MY sister, born in November, doesn't have it. Coincidence?
