What do fans think would really improve the atmopshere for this game, by that i mean perhaps something similar to the NHL play off towel thing, where fans wave usually small towels around their heads as the team comes out or scores etc. It looks very impressive when all the fans do it together, even the Newcastle Vipers yellow duster waving looks impressive when all the fans do it.
Thinking more large scale and this would perhaps work better in the finals weekend (if we get there of course), and get block 15 to hold up yellow pieces of card/paper, then block 14 black, 13 yellow and 12 black, it would make a great looking display....just take a hell of a lot of coordination to get set up.
Anyway what do others think?

Derby County did this on Saturday against Man Utd. The clips I saw of it looked pertty impressive.

Calgary have the 'C' of Red with everyone wearing a red shirt...
...we could give everyone a yellow shirt and have 'The Bowl of Custard'
I'm not a fan of 'towel-waving because of what it symbolised when it was first done. It was a Canucks head coach that started it when his team were being beat by Chicago. He stuck a towel on a stick and waved it as if in surrender...he was followed by the whole team.

tough but dirty. even if his replacement was cornish i was glad when we got rid of him. The towel thing does look really impressive when everyone does it. Also sort of encourages people to join in chants etc. Really looking forward to the big match tonight

Shmyr also did that last season
Would be great to get a couple of drums by the stage and the flames they had a couple of seasons back, really get the crowd going.

If there was yellow towels placed on every seat prior to our game on the 29th it would be nice if it took off when a goal is scored and became tradition. Yellow or white doesn t matter, but it sure does look effective when everyone reads off the same page so to speak, instead of handing out stupid looking hats as it its some sort of school kids birthday party

But in the NHL the towels are usually sponsored and carry the sponsors logo,.. if the club tried to source a sponsor to provide the towels it would be a start. GMB ,.??. Evening post. ?? Agree that the helmets and recent masks were shockingly bad,..!!

Those helmets and masks are shocking, either lay the towels on the seats beforehand or get people to hand them out as people come into the arena.

The bart simpson gloves that we had at Wembley were pretty good. The market stalls behind the arena did a cracking trade!

I don't think there would be a shortage of volunteers,.that would be the smallest obstacle.. I'd help out, as i'm sure many on here would.

I'm sure they would, the reason i posted before is because higgy is all for waving scarves, towels, newcastles yellow dusters, he was very happy when he came back with one of them earlier in the year.ha ha. I do agree thought that something like this would help give the arena a better atmosphere by getting fans involved but as most have said there's plenty more that need to change as well.

You can order the Thunder-Sticks from here, dont know why they don't sell them in the shop they'd make a tidy profit..
