2 down, 1 to go.
Winning this in regulation might be enough. Coventry have 4 left (Flames A, Storm H, Devils A and Flames H) but given the major tank they're on, will they win again? Clan finish Flames A and Devils H, not easy games. Flames stuck 7 past them the other day.

A lot rests on how Coventry perform tomorrow. If they slip to another loss then we have a real chance.

While it may not be feeling that great to be a part of it, the fact so much is riding on the final games of the season for so many teams is, on the other hand, kind of great fun.
I'm hoping we do it and then can make at least some kind of playoff surge. If that happens this season could go down as The Great Escape (from the bottom of the table). The guys deserve to come away from this season with some kind of end of season bounce in their step at least. They've never quit.
Hoping that Rok's wobbles are a thing of the past from now on.
Think will take this one. Hoping for a statement win (4-0) and another shut-out but I'd settle for any type of shut-out. Would do the defence and the team the world of good.
Hope: 4-0 Reality: 5-3

Hope: 4-0 Reality: 5-3 It's refreshing to have something to play for at this stage of the season, even if it os at the wrong end. As i've said before, I think getting to the play offs regardless of winning or losing in the QF will be good. Play off hockey is different and I think everybody deserves it.

As i've said before, I think getting to the play offs regardless of winning or losing in the QF will be good. Play off hockey is different and I think everybody deserves it. Yeah, I confess it's taken me until relatively recently from October to begin to care about the outcomes of the games again. I won't say it's the same caring as any other season because it's not. But it's starting to matter a bit more now, and I think that's partly because we are at the bottom and in a dog fight for playoff hockey. I think if we were sitting safely middle of the pack with nothing riding on them the games would actually feel less important still. For me at least. I'd want for the players to be higher but if, as Otto recently said, some of them are back to enjoying their hockey then I'm good with that wherever we are. Personally, I think the fact that the outcome of each game at this stage might actually mean something is actually making me more connected and invested in the outcome again. If that makes sense? I may not get the dream scenario for the players of playoff qualification, dumping Steelers out in the next round then going on a run to the title but the fact I'm actually starting to think of it as the dream scenario for me as well means that night in Sheffield might not have permanently robbed me off my love for the game. Whatever happens the game has changed. But this year, regardless of where we've ended up I see players who care, who play as a team, players for who wearing the black and gold means something now. And it's been a while when it's felt like we had a full team that bought in. Time will tell, but I'm going for a win today and where the rest of the other teams chips (and results) fall is out of my hands

Michaud a late scratch, added to the recent 3 of Neill, Ryczek and Neilson. Not ideal, but at least it’s not in defence again!

Why has nobody had to answer for the cheap shot on Hazeldine?

Why has nobody had to answer for the cheap shot on Hazeldine? Yes very disappointing. Pare should be making a beeline straight for whoever it was. That’s his job on the team

2-1 after 2. Feel we need a cushion here to prevent any mishaps.
They just shoot on sight.

Somehow we are 2-1, need to get the pick of them and clear our zone.
Worried the Official's will start calling Penalties on us

Watching super Panthers....yep okay, Some people are either misguided or easily entertained. Two very ordinary teams. Hasn't been the best of games - Maybe because too much is riding on the outcone Architects of our own downfall with 6 minutes of pp time wasted, then to cough it up in OT.
We are the mighty, mighty Panthers...

Ordinarily 5 points from 6 would be a good haul. Looks like we'll come up short now.

I would say so. Need to win both Manchester fixtures & hope the others slip up. Shame.

I shall be at the final home game, irrespective of results beforehand & offspring 1 is looking forward too it as well. I will forever be impressed with the work ethic of this roster. Something that has been lacking in a trillion seasons.

We are indeed all but done. Miracle needed. 3 points may still be enough. Win Saturday and hope results go our way and see what happens Sunday. Dont fancy our chances.

Gutting...we had the chances to win that both in regulation and OT.
The game wasn't the best but both teams couldn't really afford to lose it and played as such.
Miracle needed now,it might still come down to the last game but very unlikely now.

Really disappointing, we had chances to win that. Thought the longer the 3rd went on, the sloppier and less structured we got. The writing was on the wall though, you could see the equaliser coming. Clan turned up the pressure and physical side of things and it worked.
Least it’ll give us a few weeks head start on preparing for next season.

Six minutes of powerplay and nothing to show for it. Failure to clear the zone on multiple occasions and induviduals holding onto the puck far too long. Very frustrating to watch. Miracle needed now. I just hope the management are looking to keep a solid core of this team and build a balanced squad around it.
