Giants with a 1-0 overtime victory in the CHL against Salzburg, Tedesco with about 4 seconds to play. Keeps their slim hopes alive with 1 (?) to play. Not a game that will live long in the memory. Both sides wasted numerous pp chances, Salzburg in particular looked poor offensively considering the level of some of their imports. Giants deserved the win but it will take a big effort to take points against Pardubice, who sit 8th in the table, next week. Edited - Giants at home, some IH sites use the American format of away team first. after results elsewhere Giants can no longer quality for the next round but are giving Pardubice a decent game tonight, leading 3-2 in the third

What's the goss on Booth leaving the Devils? Looks like a very good netminder, who's played very little this year. Injured?

Judging by the natives on The Inferno, Russell just prefers Bowns. Presumably he's left for game time on his part.

With the greatest of respect, Myers would be lost on this team, no matter how good he is at face offs. Panthers had 2 players in the top 6 league face off performers last season. Much good it did them.

Would be suprised to see this guy wanting to warm the bench either.

They apparently need some size. ….Silly me for even thinking of Matt Myers.

With the speed of Myers compared with the forwards we have this year he would still crossing the defensive blue line when the others were in the offensive zone. Couldn't fault his prowess in the circle but his speed was serioulsy lacking.

Looks decent. Good name for a netminder too. Even better name for a bathroom fitter.

Not a stat it's ideal to be at the bottom of. Looking at that table we also average less face offs in our matches. I wonder if that is because we keep hold of the puck longer or the opposition that are winning the face offs do. Therefore less face offs in the game.

Obviously hockey resumed for 8 teams tonight so let's start bringing some normal hockey content(Let's try keep it polite & respectful for now) back along side the ongoing AJ tributes. 4 away wins tonight with some suprise results. Belfast 3 Guildford 4 Cardiff 1 Manchester 3 Coventry 2 Dundee 4 Fife 2 Glasgow 3(OT)

In any normal context we'd be ecstatic about Cardiff and Belfast losing at home, but it feels a million miles away from actually mattering anymore.

It almost feels like it's happening in a different league across the pond if that makes sense? As though what the teams listed do or don't do is somehow entirely irrelevant to me being a Panthers fan. Does that make sense?

Tonight was an empty night. ( Giants v Flames ) No buzz, no interaction with the game. Most around me were "just" watching a game... Very detached... The laying of the wreaths was hard to watch... Video was nice... Drummers tried, and had some success in lifting the mood but for most parts, people seemed to be going through the motions... Will be hard for the players to ice again at Sheffield and Nottingham and or the fans to interact...

Seen on twitter that the Fife Flyers OSC raised £2300 towards the memorial fund last night. This is a superb effort from all involved!

In all these years I've never known a togetherness amongst the fanbases around the league , just a shame a tragedy like this brings them all together

Also in Nottingham last night the Sheffield fans a plenty were upset too. When I got off the ice a group were just stood there looking up at the screen playing the clips of AJ and they were in tears.
The fans at club games saying how tame the atmosphere was and it’s true that the scores from last night were just that. I penned the results to the Stats thread but it was less an interest while doing it.
