Parody of your usual positivity, old chap. Can't believe I'm doing this and defending pidge but hey ho lol but no negativity from pidge on this one for obvious reasons . Not sure why a pop at him is really needed here he hasn't done anything not sure why you feel taking pot shot is needed .

Line up should look something like this:- Niemenen-Johnson-Lemay Lunsjo-Roy-Betteridge Michaud-Welsh-Anderson Neilson-Kelsall-Henbrant Caruso-Neill Bjorkung-McGurty Tetlow-Ryczek Stojanovic Robinson I think this is more likely: Nieminen-Johnson-Lemay Lunsjo-Michaud-Welsh Henbrant-Roy-Betteridge Nielson-Kelsall-Anderson Bjorkung-Neil Caruso-Ryczek Tetlow-McGurty Stojanovic Robinson Henbrant is RW/C. Why play him out of position on the left wing when we have enough LW players on the team to play their natural position?

I’d argue that the signing of Johnson is the most impressive bit of business of any EIHL team this off-season, and for quite a few seasons even. He didn’t have an overly productive season in DEL last season but Augsburger struggled as a whole and he still finished 5th in point scoring for them. The rest of his career is very impressive though, solid AHL numbers which is a great indicator for what he can do at our level
I’m certain he will be a top player in our league and hopefully he has the ability to make us a force this season. Exciting stuff from the club

That's because he isn't a top 6 forward im still not happy he’s back as a bottom 6 forward. Me neither to be honest. Thought he was one of the worst of a bad bunch and couldn’t believe my eyes when they announced his return

Exciting stuff from the club I’d say he he’s the highest pedigree in the league. His signing is transformative to this team for me. If it was more of the same it would have looked like a decent but middling team but this injection of quality at the top makes us look dangerous

Why play him out of position on the left wing when we have enough LW players on the team to play their natural position? Well we’ve got 5 forward who are left handed, based on comments from the players and the general makeup of the team I see two of them playing at centre, if Henbrant doesn’t play on the left that would leave us with 2 lefties on the left and coaches generally like to have players on the side of their dominant hand. I also don’t see an obvious replacement to switch him with and he’d likely find it easier than Betteridge on his offhand

Fantastic signing. As said already, he's arguably the best signing in the league so far.

Johnson confirmed in his radio interview that he expects to land in the UK Wednesday morning so it’s reasonable to assume that we will have a full roster for start of training camp

Training camp starts Thursday/Friday so I’d imagine players may start to arriving in the next couple of days

That's a heck of a pick up! Quality signing. If he has even half the leadership qualities that Herr had as well then he's a true lynchpin signing.
Definitely a player that you can build a team around and a signing that's elevated our roster (and expectations) significantly. Looking forwards to seeing him play. The kind of player that should make those around him better too.
Definitely a best till last announcement
Nice work Panthers getting him at such a prime age too

Johnson is a quality hockey player - tick. Do not expect one player to shape a whole team though. If he is given the right role and if he is allowed to play by some of the less scrupulous players on other teams then he could indeed by a big hit. That said he must take to the ice each night with the right attitude - no coasting through games as " Johnny Bigballs". Personally I wish him every success here and if he can get off to a hot start then he really could "pull up some trees" in this league.
