I’ve taken the plunge - 2 seats in Block 6.
First time season ticket holder.
Looking forward to it already!

I truly hope you enjoy next season and am hoping that panthers rock it and win everything but taking into consideration our last 2 years and more than that our time at the NIC i am not expecting anything to change without a change in management and so i wont be getting a season ticket and havent had one for almost a decade... If they are a team worth watching then panthers will get more from me than they would get if i bought a season ticket but i strongly suspect i will be quids in mores the pity.

Unfortunately I missed the call yesterday, but had a voice mail from Lisa wanting to talk about my season tickets that I haven't renewed. Hope she rings back I' m looking forward to the conversation. A little disappointed though as last year it was Pasha that called to get me to part with my hard earned. Obviously the fans aren't considered as important this year.

If you want to think that way without knowing why, go for it. Personally, I'd maybe listen to the reason why first... Presumably, you did then renew the season tickets, by the sounds of it? One presumes you're looking forward to it so that you can berate Lisa for the poor performance of the team, and that will make you feel better? If so, I'm not sure it's her actual fault...?

Likewise, some may have just been the lucky ones to have got a call from the man himself. I guess he can’t get round everyone and a ticket is a ticket at the end of the day whoever calls. ☝️ I’m not having one.

No signing news just before 1st cut off date is unusual unless last minute today?

I had the call from Lisa last night asking if it was correct that we hadn't renewed yet. I informed her that we wouldn't be renewing and was honest when she asked why and said we stopped enjoying it and they hadn't done anything so far this off season to make us change our minds. Announcing an unknown coach who has given 1 interview so far, 3 brits and letting 2 more go to a rival is not what I would call incentive.
The surprising thing was that she made no effort to win us back. I'm not saying that she should, because I know the club don't owe us anything. But there wasn't even a "Is there anything we could do that would get you to reconsider?". It just seemed a bit odd to me.

The whole organisation is stale as hell. They never trive to be the best they can, it's all wishy washy.. not at all surprised. You'd like to think they are working hard behind the scenes to rectify the failings of the last few years.. sadly I ain't holding my breathe

I haven't had any calls but my friend has had a couple asking about the season renewal. They asked about why they were thinking of not renewing and my friend asked how long they had got to listen.. 40 minutes she kept her on the phone..lol But does look like we are going to be in for another 'cheap' year as this new coach works wonders with a small budget.

The one way to ensure it’s a “cheap year” is to not renew.
If they don’t have the income streams to cover outgoings then you get the club you deserve. Other than minor sponsorship, there’s no multimillion tv package to fall back on like football.

Other than minor sponsorship, there’s no multimillion tv package to fall back on like football. Nonsense. If Guildford can afford the current paltry £12,500 per week max player wage cap spend on crowds of only a measly 1800 then so can Panthers on crowds of 5000 plus !

Other than minor sponsorship, there’s no multimillion tv package to fall back on like football. One way to ensure people DON'T renew is to dish up another crap roster and risible year like the last few. The only multi-million package is in the Caribbean somewhere sitting in a bank. Anyone buying a season ticket next year with their own money either needs their bumps felt or else they are very easily entertained

Money spent on a team is no guarantee of success.
I expect that people were optimistic last year from the names we had. That’s sport. It happens. Its only when things go wrong that the moaners come out of the woodwork.
I’ve been a long time season ticket holder at Forest, and I’ve seen them throughout their stay in League 1 when you couldn’t give away tickets.
Did I enjoy it in League 1? Not really, but you’ve got to taste the lows to enjoy the highs when things turn for you.
Feels to me a lot of lessons have been learned about hiring a coach who talks a good game. I’m hoping the track record of this guy will see an improvement on the ice. Fans and players seem to hold him in high regard. Time will tell.
But my original point remains- club revenue comes from season tickets mostly. If nobody goes, you get the club you deserve.
I’m not going to go over old ground arguing over the owner coining it in. In my eyes, if if was such a moneymaker there would be more clubs, and I would expect the costs of operating from the Ice Centre are considerably more than most other venues.

All of the numbers are public and all you need is a basic grasp of arithmetic

And it looks like they are still being fed lies now.. we'll soon know if they are when the coach has his non playing staff and coaches (if he has any) because if by the first game Rick Strachan is back there we know it was lies and all cost cutting again.

Yes I’ve been thinking that myself after Pacha admitted to the mistake of letting Graham go it alone last season with no assistant coach. Well I can’t see any assistant so far !!

No guarantee of success nope, but it goes a very long way towards it. There’s a reason that only four out of ten EIHL teams ever win anything !

Exactly. “The numbers” are not public at all. ”The numbers” are based on a quote on the cap from Kellman which may have changed, a rough guess on how many ST’s are sold plus whatever is left over of our average attendance and then a complete stab in the dark when it comes to arena costs

So Panthers trumpet the success of 200 new season ticket holders ... Now let's see who in the Black Tower is prepared to admit how many existing season ticket holders they lost! Despite the online and phone badgering of people who either left it until the last minute or didn't bother renewing at all because of the wee wee poor showing and blatant BS last season, do we think we will get an honest appraisal of real season ticket sales this year. I doubt we will get the truth or my name isn't Genghis Bonaparte Caesar, ruler of the known universe through time immemorial ... Probably lost a lot more than 200 I should think, they were certainly expecting to and for ST sales to be really poor from what I heard.

I wouldn’t expect the club to publish how many season tickets they’ve lost, doesn’t achieve anything tbh. But I agree it’s likely that they will have made a loss in total holders. If that’s the case the information should be a wake up call to the man at the top, the budget and resource that Black provides has to at least match that of anybody in the league, plus Pacha and Paredes have to utilise it correctly

It'd be interesting to know what the total number is, and has been over the years. See what effect good and bad seasons have had on it.
Tbh getting 200 to sign up after last year seems like a decent achievement.
