First hatrick for a few seasons I reckon.. Welsh got one Vs Storm in the cup this year & Carozza got one away in Fife last season League-wise, back to 16-17 is as far as I can easily tell... Boxing Day 2019, Sam Herr got 4 vs Blaze, in a 5-4 OTW. All in less than 10 minutes (51.13 to 60.32) the OT winner assisted by Carr. Last season, Carozza at Fife, 9 March, in a 4-3 OTW, and Matt Lane, at Blaze on 9 April, in a 6-4 W, with an ENG, and ES and a PPG.

I need a bit of help on Matt Myers’ two minute cross checking penalty in the third. He clearly drew blood but only got two minutes. Why not 2+2? Are they only called on high sticking penalties that draw blood?
The less said about the reffing on the play the better. The ref stood right next to the incident clearly shook his head in a ‘nowt wrong with that’ fashion whilst the other ref, stood some distance away with the net (and probably a player or three) blocking his view, put his arm straight up despite not knowing at that time that blood had been drawn.

And then the penalty was called as cross checking and not high sticks! That call was bizarre,as you said the refs clearly disagreed with each other.

I think the closer ref didn't call it because he'd seen the guy cross check Myers first. Myers went back in relatiation. I was furious at the time. How a ref 6ft away shook his head, yet the other at half way with the obstructions described above in the way managed to see it. The blood was bizarre as the cross check from Myers appeared quite low on the body.

I'm not sure retaliatory fouls are exempt from being called? Here's what the rules say on high sticks and double minors. I didn't know a second (and subsequent) unsuccessful coach's challenge results in a double minor... There's often a fine line between the penalties, we've all seen the Levin penalty from the other game called as roughing when I thought he cross checked him in the head. Attachments:
