A convincing win last night and even being short staffed I still felt we should have had more goals. We controlled the game, shots were 41-17 in our favour, we made the opportunities but we just didn’t create them. I thought the powerplay looked a bit disjointed yesterday but that may have been due to unfamiliar faces being on it.
Nice for Suoranta and Lane to get off the mark, that will do them good. Doherty impressed me again, he’s certainly not a stay at home defenceman which was suspected when he signed, he’s a solid two-way dman. Also, great to see Kerlin get the start, he didn’t look out of place one bit, he was composed and took his opportunity well, very impressed with him and hopefully he gets more time on the ice throughout this season.

Called for Kerlin to get ice time and he didn’t let us down. Calm, assured and did everything well.
Potential is there for him to be a legit number 2 and take games off Carr during the season.
Nice to see different guys scoring and chemistry blossoming. There’s potential in this team to be very good

I take it the crowd was very poor last night seeing as Panthers havn’t put it on the gamesheet.

I take it the crowd was very poor last night seeing as Panthers havn’t put it on the gamesheet. An absolute ton of freebies but for a Saturday night it wasn't great. Playing non-season ticket games at the start of an already late start to fill the coffers of certain other teams definitely hurts the Panthers

Out of interest does anyone know what the attendance was?

Bot of a statto one here, but need to ask as I didn't attend.
What happened at 10.40? Panthers scored and Storm were assessed a penalty at the same time for "Freezing the puck"? How did that happen?
Just seen the highlights, no clues at all? Was it at the next face off?
And again the highlights are a bit quick. You see a nanosecond of play before Doherty's goal and hardly anything at all of the aftermath of RB's somewhat clumsy hit from behind, which resulted in a fighting major and ejection for Springer?

There was a very late coaches challenge on the goal. That's the only thing I could think it was in relation to. Unfortunately the PA was so garbled that night I couldn't hear anything of Stef's announcement.

I think your right is was for the very late challenge (the players where already at centre circle for the face off) on the goal therefore they got a bench penalty for I assume a delay of the game.

I thought it might have been for a failed challenge - automatic delay of game penalty.

I don't think it takes any more effort. The issue is the cuts are being made in the wrong places for me. Too little buildup included in goals and then certain bits look disjointed. Take the Fawcett/Tousignant confrontation, there is a random cut in the middle! The Doherty goal is literally showing just him in the slot and scoring within 1 second.
