That's a different matter though. Anyone who's paid for it should get refunded, but it's on YouTube for free, so why not watch it?

Hope it’s sorted out for you guys who paid. I’ve always had issues with streams in the past and not being so tech I keep away from them. Tried at the 11th hour to purchase ( blame me) but when it said I may have issues I dropped out. Lost custom. Not a fan of starch’s commentary but the main guy is ok.

What’s with the poo poo comments in the bottom left of screen. Did you watch with comments on the entire time? You can turn those off you know!

Well, after the fiasco last night I've emailed for a refund. Not heard anything back yet surprisingly! If I don't get one I won't be buying any more games on principle.

www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/1086-elite-series-streaming-updatePerfectly reasonable. Unless you purchased a 12 game pass. Any other way you purchased, single game, 6 game pass or 24 your free game can be one that includes your team. If you purchased a 12 game pass you can chose another regular season game. So a game that doesn't include your team. 🙈 Im not overly concerned with the issues they had last night. We've all had those days at work where it all goes wrong, but if i purchased 12 Panthers games then 12 Panthers games is what I should get. They are clearly concerned of the financial impact of offering the semi final free to all the fans of Panthers and Sheffield that purchased 12 game passes. My guess is thats a huge % of packages purchased.

Well that seems like a fair response to the problems encountered. Happy with that.

Would have preferred to have one of the Semi-final games (assuming that Panthers will be involved) but accept the problems and will now lok at which extra game to choose, is there a cut-off date for deciding which game that will be ??

Well Panthers are definitely going to be involved in one of the semi finals. There are only four teams in it. 🙈

www.eliteleague.co.uk/article/1181-streaming-details-for-playoffsPlay off pricing announced. £13 a single game or £49 for all. Not so sure this time. £49 is reasonable if you are interested in watching 2 leg semi final that doesn't have your team in, but if not it isn't great. Risk £49 on the hope your team makes the final? If they dont and you arn't intetested you've paid £49 for 2 games. 2 leg semi final = £26 If final finishes in 2 games it a further £26. So thats only £52. The only was a reasonable saving comes into following your team only is if final goes to 3 games. That'd be £65 full price(saving £16). It'll be single games for me this time.

If the final goes to game 3 and we're in it, I might buy that.
I still feel they got the pricing wrong on this whole thing, but I'm assuming by the issues they had with load managing take up has been better than they expected.

You would think that to be the case, yes. Overall, it's about maximising revenue for the league, assuming that you're not being daft. 2500 people watching a game paying £13 each is the same revenue as 13 people paying £2500 each, but one of those is not very appealing to the average fan. The trick is to price it so the total revenue is maximised, or as near as possible.

Of course. For me personally they didn't find a price point for any of it that I wanted to pay, so they've had nowt, and these prices for the denouement don't appeal at all either.
But presumably a lot did buy in, at least for certain ties, judging by the issues.

To be honest, so far I've enjoyed watching the other teams as much as I've enjoyed watching the Panthers so far. It will be interesting to see if the teams switch it on when the games actually matter.

The streaming costs me way less than even the parking does to go to a game but I think the issue here is that we may see a wage cap across the league for the next season as there is no way in the world that they are going to be allowed anywhere near-capacity crowds at any venue so I'm guessing that it's going to be limited crowds plus streaming across the board and there is no way I'm buying a season ticket for this standard of hockey no matter what team I supported.

Well I am not one for watching other teams if Panthers are out so for me it is a no brainer
At worst there will be 2 panthers games ( the Semis) 13 x 2 = £26 We could get to the final and win or lose in 2 Games 13 x 4 = £52 We could go to Final and lose or win in 3 games 13 x 5 = £65
I will take the risk and pay per game, chances are with Panthers form I will only be paying £26, if I pay more its because we are doing OK and I don't mind paying. If the final finishes in 2 I have only lost £3 if the final goes to 3, the final game should be a really good game so will be happy to pay for it!

Yes you may well be right. The EIHL will possibly be thinking along the lines of “well lots of fans were happy to sign up for the series streams so this is the level of hockey we’ll serve them up next season” and the import level will get dropped again.

Big problem, as discussed somewhere already is the current concentration of British talent. It's currently condensed into 4 teams minus a few well known names. Spread that back over the asumed 10 teams and then you would be struggling for quality. I wouldn't mind a further drop if the additional 60 or do Brits were all at this level.
