Perhaps he flew back home during the GB weekend and then was refused entry on his return here. Just an educated stab in the dark

Having worked directly with the UKBA I'm loathe to put too much blame on the panthers org here - could be any number of things, especially given the current climate with Brexit adjustments.
Like any big bureaucracy the Borders Agency aren't known for their dynamism and nuance...

But if it was something Bulmer had done wrong then why indicate they may want him back next season. It suggests to me it’s a Panthers cockerel up.

Doubt we will ever know what really happened here. It has already gone off the Panther's main news screen, and with the new guy arriving to replace DeSantis, I doubt they will mention him again.

Considering DeSantis talked about 'messing his family around', and Bulmer leaves almost immediately after due to Visa issues, putting 2+2 and maybe getting 5, could Visa issues be common to both problems. Not with DeSantis himself, but his family?

Not with DeSantis himself, but his family? I might be wrong, but I thought the player had an invite from the club to work, and they took this to the British Embassy? to get the suitable visa. It seems it is the player himself that has to obtain the correct visa to work in the UK, and not the club. The player needs the visa in his passport before coming to the UK, so this cannot be the club to arrange. The family will not require a visa (as long as they don't intend to work), as they can come over on a tourist visa.

There could be any number of explanations... all the club's fault, all the player's fault, or somewhere inbetween. For example:- GD/TW : Brent, you messed up here when you invalidated the terms of your visa, you know that don't you? BB : Yes boss - sorry about that, I screwed up. GD/TW : OK, well - you're done for this season, nothing we can do about that... but you're doing OK out on the ice so we can still consider bringing you back next season, OK? BB : Yeah, thanks. And - learned my lesson, won't make that mistake again. Or any number of other scenarios, all equally likely...

While it may be the players responsibility, surely the club are providing assistance throughout the process? A player and their family coming to the UK for the first time won't know the UK rules. Panthers signing 15+ players who need Visas and permits every year should be pretty well versed in the whole process.

I saw Bulmer prior to the GB Hungary game with the other imports so if he had been back home he definitely got back into the country.

GD/TW : Brent, you messed up here when you invalidated the terms of your visa, you know that don't you? Maybe he quit because Gui and Tim didn't know his first name?

From what I've heard, Brett went to Budapest with some of the other lads during the GB break. When he tried to get back into the UK after, he was told his VISA had expired and he was told to leave. So it's a huge error from someone in admin who has not noticed the issue previously.

Employing a player now without the correct current permit is a criminal offence with very serious consequences.

I'd say the onus is on him to make sure his visa is valid.. if he came over on a 3 year visa back in August he should have known there was only 6 months remaining?

When you enter a new country for work you get an immediate 90 day visa, you then have to re-apply for a longer one when you arrive. So he could've easily been issued with a 90 day visa upon entry to Germany.

Germany are changing visas from March but as far as I’m aware for work purposes (not as a tourist) you need to apply for non EU in your country of residence.

Anyway he’s gone now &. Have we missed him.... I would say not.

He had a horrible start (0 points from his first 11 games), was then on fire (13 in his next 10), then 7 in his next 19 (including 3 in one game). Almost the dictionary definition of "inconsistent". Didn't play his size, very inconsistent, not exactly what you'd call a grafter; frankly I can't believe Gui's left the door open for next season.
