Danes win it in the shootout. Should have won it in regulation TBH. They were the better team throughout and if they had taken their half dozen gilt edge chances we could have been embarrassed.
Still all to play for, I reckon the Belarusians will be a problem for everyone so could take points of the Danes.

If we can get 7 points I reckon we’ll do it.

Having lost I am furious. We could have won it. I didn't like all the feining and diving from the Danes. Pity. My fingers weren't crossed enough.

We didnt create enough good chances, and our goal was a tad fortunate. We will need to do more going forwards tomorrow.

Scrappy game, they were horrible, dirty and diving. It was also a typical euro ref performance. We were on the back a lot because of a chunk of 1 sided calls. Having said that, we never really liked scoring, including the penalty shots. Our only goal was basically an own goal. Really dissapointed and frustrated though. Dont like losing to a team that play that way and I think the guys really but a lot into that whilst up against it.

Thought it was a poor, rather boring game. We never looked like we had enough to beat their goalie. Lucky to get a point.

Usual problem we have had all season if Herr doesn't win the game other forwards don't do enough to get the win without him... and to me it showed how our lack of depth in british players is biting us hard too...
Oh well maybe black will have to invest in the team if he wants to play in Europe again next season rather than the back door typical neilson approach at panthers i.e. win a yoda handful of games and qualify and then declare its a good season in Nottingham....

Shame we couldn't hang on but if Sam can't do it I think we may struggle. Way too many forwards AWOL.

I still feel it'll come down to you needing to beat Neman Grodno last game to take it. Certainly not over yet.

Bit of a scrappy game, that...
Don't think either team was clearly the better side - at some points, we seemed to be having all of the play, at others it was all them. The two main reasons that people seem to be focusing on are IMO about right... our offence was lacking somewhat (the defence wasn't) and the combination of the Danes' dodgy play & the abysmal officiating made it all that much harder. Neither reason explains it all IMO... the two combined was enough to defeat us.
Oh well, just have to suck it up and move on. It's still anyone's tournament.

At least the end of game presentation was amusing....

Watched on YouTube and I have to say we defended quite well against a "chippy" team, but we were woeful going forward, hardly put them under any sustained pressure and frankly we were very lucky to snatch a point from that game.

Clearly them getting 1 less point today will help us out but its not vital.... I think.

If this was the case come the end of tomorrow though we’d be on 7 points and the Danes would be on 6 points, so we’d win.
