Long Friday night trek North of the Border for a difficult meeting with The Clan. The Scots have lots of firepower this season and have produced some very impressive performances under Ran C Nesbitt ( oops, sorry, Zack Fitzgerald ) . . . I can only see a defeat from this game. The Grapes Count = Clan 3 : Panthers 1.

Clan have some injuries and I'm sure I heard Fitzy and pulled on his skates recently. Could go either was and Clan have been very up and down. We're travelling up for this one so hopefully we can scrape a win but its a hard one to call.

They had Ehrhardt, Roy, Tanski and Peacock missing from that game, hopefully it’s the same come Friday.

We're never that lucky...lol Hopefully a reasonable crowd, there's a full coach going up for this one.

I’m driving up with two others, it looks like we’ve got a full away block so it should be a good atmosphere. It’s our first time visiting Glasgow so hopefully it’s a good first experience!

It’s a nice arena, way out of town but plenty to do on the Braehead retail park. It’s gets a little congested leaving tho’’ only one entrance in and out.

Clan have signed Scott Jacklin & Chad Smith this evening, Roy will be back from injury and two players from the Solway Sharks have been called up. So numbers wise at least we'll be back to normal, much needed after having just 15 skaters against the Stars & Flames last weekend.

Hoping our players haven't got bus legs, they've only just arrived at braehead after leaving the arena 45 mins after us this morning.

Bus trips to Scotland are short in comparison to what these players are used to. Yup just one of many Neilson excuses over the years !

I’m not seeing much by the way of the score on here. From elite league WS it’s Clan 0 Panthers 3 around 7/8 mins into third period.

Superb win and performance again. Credit the PK unit for that ridiculous 5 on 3 kill. Right back in amongst it now!

Fantastic result, whatever is being done is obviously working.
What a find Hanson has been, just shows that you can't take on face value what a player did for a previous EIHL team, I did not recall him at Coventry.

Splendid result. 2 points on Sunday and it’s a belting weekend. The game sheet suggests that Lacho took 27 face offs, which is amazing in itself, but he only won 6?

I tell you what....that league table looks a lot better now. Credit has to be given to Tim and Doucet. It would have been very easy for them to take the boos (which were very much justified) 2 months ago and make them panic into changes. But they stuck with it, found 2 players who suited us and now were climbing back up the table.
Going up to Scotland, getting a shut out and winning is a fantastic achievement. Get the 2 points against Sheffield on Sunday and mission resurrect season is in full flow.
I’ve got a genuine buzz about this team....add in GG to return soon as well and we look very deep and very strong.

Hansen and Talbot haven’t just fired themselves either, they’ve really electrified our lines and players like Brett Bulmer who looks in great nick now. They’re learning from their mistakes too, a shutout is a great response to blowing those leads last week. A very pleasing evening.

Top performance in a rink where a lot of teams have had some beatings, we were solid across the ice and clinical. We overcame adversity in the third and the refs best intentions to bring Glasgow back into it. Proud of the team tonight and we’re on our way home more than happy!

Bulmer has scored all his league points since Hansen got here, and all bar 2 since Talbot's been here. With Golovkovs out, and with the greatest of respect, a team that has a listed third and fourth line of Rheault/Kelsall/Hazeldine and Quist/Lachowicz/Betteridge ought not to cause too many sleepless nights, but they did their job in spades last night. I tip my hat to the team. Someone at the game, did those lines last all night and did they get significant icetime?
