That has to be the best performance that the Panthers have put in so far this season. Excellent stuff... relentless pressure offensively, fighting for every puck, full-on effort. Connelly, Bulmer, Carr, Herr, Hanson, Betteridge... hell, they all bust a gut to win. And it wasn't as if Belfast were poor or lazy or not trying... they played hard, just we played harder. Very good to see... more of the same, please!

I thought it was Kelsall? Oops, yes - sorry, that's correct. I always get #13 & #14 switched around... it was #14 (Kelsall) that sat the penalty.

I thought it was Kelsall? Sort it out boys. Lol Thanks but can we confirm? Just not been put on the GRS tonight. Wondering also ( apart from will we ever get a shut out) is should the end times of pims on GRS also be when they scored too? EDIT; just seen it, thanks chaps.

A very good win and performance to match. The energy was there from the off. A couple of strange referee calls for me tonight, some given and some missed. The high stick on Quist in the 2nd was blatant, but no call. Then the Perlini one. He blocks a shot with his stick, which breaks, then he is called for using a broken stick, which he didn't. To cap it, we were then given a too many men call, when it seemed obvious to all around me that Giants had too many men as a Giants forward pre-empted the pulling of Owen and seemed to be in the attacking zone before Owen was off the ice. Anyhow, this seemed more like Panthers of old and worked their socks off for the win. BTW - The drum section seemed to work very well and created an improved atmosphere.

Herr had 4 shots? He had 3 on one shift at the start of the second? And I’m not sure I believe the face off stats either. Talbot won 19 of 23? Anyway...

Then the Perlini one. He blocks a shot with his stick, which breaks, then he is called for using a broken stick, which he didn't. From what I saw, it looked like Perlini blocked the shot with his stick which broke, as you say... but as far as I can tell he didn't realise, played the puck with it - which is when he realised and then immediately dropped it. So technically... yes, he played the puck with a broken stick, which is technically a penalty... but these are always down to referee discretion, aren't they? None of which was going our way tonight!

Could be right Shaggy, but from our end it appeared that the puck flew to the side from the blocked shot. Seemed very harsh anyway.

Amazing what a bit of confidence can do to a team. The additions of Hansen and Talbot have added a new dimension to the team. And that dimension has allowed players who were close to being sacked stepping up and looking like world beaters. The energy, the forecheck, the buy in to Wallace’s plans have been massively improved.
I was very against the block 19 idea but can’t doubt that the atmosphere has been a hundred times better.
And credit to TW and GD. The team wasn’t working and now we seem to have a team that has a lot of potential. This season might be gone but we have a core here to build upon.

Sounds like a much more positive evening all around.
Belfast will be more hungry tomorrow as a result. A win tomorrow would be more impressive.

I’m not sure the season has gone - we’ve scrapped into the next round of the CC and everyone’s expectations was that 3rd in the league would be our maximum achievement - whilst I don’t think we will aspire to third - I think 4th is attainable.

The best overall performance of the season so far. The Giants had their grapes well and truly crushed. Every player contributed and, I don't know what has happened but, the team confidence level has skyrocketed. Giants will be extra determined to reverse this Sunday afternoon so hopefully another crackerjack of a game.

I've always been harsh yet assumed true with any quess work/ prediction. I feel with continued improvement as in consistency the best might be in the top three.

Great performance, best of the season so far and made a good Belfast side look ordinary.
There will be a backlash from Belfast today I’m sure but continue to play as we did last night and we could still challenge.

They'll only be a backlash if Panthers allow it

Good sides don't just lay down after a defeat, and Belfast are a good side. Caution is not defeatism.
