Early in the season but for me this weekend could be that momment. In reality most never really expected us to compete for the title this season. Most again have already written off any chance after the start we've had and the look of the roster. That being said, it's still not nice to get to the point where pretty much everybody realises it is gone. Dont get me wrong, there have been some postive shoots the last few weeks and it looks a little brighter, however we are still well off the rest.
The reason it could be that momment this weekend for me. Just look at the extremes in potential results. 4 point weekend with Giants getting 0 we would be 3 points behind them with them having 2 games in hand. 0 point weekend and we would be 11 points behind with those same games in hand.
To add the that we have the Conti Cup weekend the week after, the end of which will see us level on games played with Giants and Devils. So if Devils win the next 4(which include the 2 against us) . It would be 15 points behind after 15 games. 😵.
I know if it's all if buts and maybes but lets be honest, it is also quite possible.
On the flip side. If we do manage thst perfect weekend it could do wonders for our season. With the team changes we do look closer than we did a few weeks back. Build on those shoots and we may see confidence grow in the team and the fan base alike. Give us something to get excited about, at least for a short while.
My head fears the worst, but my heart still clings on to the hope. I kind of think we might just look a different team this weekend. Fingers crossed.

I've got my tickets for this one, seems to have sold well.
We've had a decent run recently, but we have had some useful fixtures in that regard (Dundee, Manchester). Belfast, you'd imagine, will be different beer. But let's see where we are. I think it'll probably be a split weekend.

Have the Giants travelled well so far this season?
Have the Panthers found their groove?

Put it this way,a 0 point weekend and the league is over for Panthers again for another year. That would put Panthers 11 points and potentially 15 points behind the Giants and they aren’t catching that up.

Have the Giants travelled well so far this season? Have the Panthers found their groove? Giants have won 6 in a row. 3 of which were on the road. Panthers have improved, got some decent results and looked better doing it. The watch out being the opponents played.

Giants running into form. I'd go with Whistle in nets against one of his former teams. Panthers will really have to step up to the plate. Hopefully a "genuine" large crowd and a decent atmosphere. The Grapes Count = Panthers 2 : Giants 3.

I think a split weekend, just not sure which one we'll win.

Golovkovs is set to be out for a few weeks according to the club, which is disappointing news considering he’s been playing well and he’s been one of our better players. It’s typical, we finally get our full squad here and up to fitness, then we lose one of our better players.

Best game of the season so far. Brett Bulmer was brilliant in particular. Hopefully signs of the player we were all expecting

Thought Connelley was also superb too. The assist on the Bulmer goal was a result of not giving up on the play when the Giants did.

Fantastic performance, well deserved win.
A real high intensity throughout, more physicality and clinical in front of goal. Bulmer looks a different player.
Atmosphere was great as well the drums have really helped I think.

We made The Giants look like we do when we play them in Belfast.
It was the best performance I've seen them in a long while, I think the addition of Talbot has helped due to the fact someone will be scratched when everybody's fit.
What a find Jake Hanson has been, pretty good for someone who was anonymous in Coventry.
Robbed of a shut out.
I was unsure about having drummers due to the fact that they were annoying when attending away games BUT THEY ARE OUR DRUMMERS and if the atmosphere was like tonight then long may it continue. It seemed everyone in the Arena was on the same page. It helped that The Panthers started so fast and bright.
I think when Stef got the crowd going doing the Officials conference epitomised tonight.

Well!!
I've basically not seen the last two games so missed the graudual improvement. What a difference. A fantastic performance playing some great hockey.
Bulmer is a world apart from what he was, he appears like he can skate double the speed I saw before. In fact we looked quick as a team and that was without Golovkos. To judge the hockey overall, it lacked an edge. Compare it to old school hockey and it was nothing like. Accept that this is what hockey is now and that was a fantastic game.
I had a feeling leading up to this that we'd do something. Thats why I feared going tonight(I can only attend 1 due to personal reasons) because now I want to go back tomorrow.
Plenty wrong going on in Pantherland, bit it's another ocassion to just to take the game at face value. Enjoyable and a great win against a title contender. Follow it up tomorrow please.
