Been a panthers fan for around 15years now and we play the same old music every game. Do people maybe agree it’s tike for a new DJ or just a new playlist ? The gentleman we have at playoff weekend is the perfect DJ for what we should be getting. He plays music that interacts with the crowd and also the game is something goes off. Why can’t we have someone like him for all our games? I know our DJ has been it for a long time but maybe someone should tell him to bring some new ideas to the table. He plays no music in the charts or old school classics that make people sing. What’s your thoughts on this

Ken is one of the best, if not the best in the league. Personally I find the playoffs guy to be insufferable. Using a hooter on the mic and playing dreadfully cringe-worthy songs. Hearing stuff like Baby Shark played makes me want to shoot myself in the head.
The day we start playing child friendly stuff like the playoffs DJ and Sheffield do will be a sad day.
The songs Ken plays have been played every season for as long as I can remember and for the most part I don't have much issue, I know during the warm ups the players will have chosen some of the songs but usually during the game it's the classics.
The good thing with Ken is that he will listen to fans' suggestions and feedback so if you're on social media, create a little list of songs or suggestions/feedback and he'll normally try to sort something. It's a difficult job, he has to play music for everyone, stuff kids will get involved in, stuff older people will recognise and perhaps clap along to and stuff which could get everyone clapping and cheering. It usually helps when we play well as fans will get more involved.
But yeah, I feel we should have some changes to songs too but I'm not too concerned.

nothing wrong with Ken, new music however would be good, some more up to date stuff.
also something that I dont care for is welcoming the opposition team on the ice and to be honest any notice of the away team or their fans. they dont do it in the NHL so why do it here. its all about panthers not who we are playing.
also I know Ken has no input into the entrance video but that's kinda dead as well.

Perhaps a bit to cheesey for my liking but he is one of tbr best now. If you think the music hasn't changed much in the last 15 years I dont think you've been paying much attention. It may have been a gradual change season on season but Id bet if you took the playlist from 15 years ago and comapred it to todays you'd see they are a million miles apart. One of the biggest reasons I've grown to appreciate Ken is that he listens to fans and actively asks for feedback and suggestions. I dont always like everything he does and plays, but in his job he isn't going to be able to please everyone all of the time.

The one jingle that needs to change is the for the goalie after he’s made a good save. It hasn’t changed since we had Miika Wiikman. It was fine with Garnett and Galbraith as the syllables in their names match the tune but when you try and chant Kevin Carr to it it really doesn’t work For the most part though Ken does a really good job and I wouldn’t like to see him replaced

Tbh I find the match night experience much the same now as it was when I started, there's obviously some turnover in tunes, but it still feels very much the same thing every time. Key pieces are never touched; are people really that wedded to hearing Chelsea Dagger every goal?
I don't blame Ken for that though, I suspect he doesn't get free reign. His occasional ad lib is normally good value. Would be interesting to hear what he'd really like to play, and say, compared to what he does.
He's miles better than that playoff bloke, a proper Ray Von.

Quite agree, we should be making the NIC a difficult place for the OPPOSITION to visit, so we shouldn’t acknowledge the OPPOSITION team or encourage the OPPOSITION fans in any way, they normally out-sing us anyway, without encouraging them even further.

If it was a sports arena I would agree 100% but Panthers org have tried to turn it into a night out venue so that’s never going to happen.

Football clubs normally welcome the opposition at the start, welcome back any returning players etc. I don't find that a big deal personally. Maybe during the game we could cut out the "any noise from the fans of..." for them, but that's about it.

Of which i'd guess a good chunk is dictated to him. Sponsors anouncements some of which have specific songs that go with for example. The match night as a whole needs freshening up. Even with the new screen the entrance video is tripe. I think the last few seasons they've been hell bent on having the current team in the video, as such the hockey clips are largely made up of pre season. The last few seasons have been a bit of a disaster but id rather see some historic trophy wins making it up, perhaps lifting the Continental plate and a snipet from the electric atmposphere at the CHL games.

Personally I absolutely loathe that 'Woo!' tune (why did we follow Sheffield's lead with that tripe?) but others seem to love it. Personal opinion again, but with hockey being a fast, hard-hitting sport, I would suggest that the majority of the music should reflect that (which means mostly - but not exclusively - rock) - others may disagree. They do appear to gradually change things bit by bit... hence having Motorhead's "Born To Raise Hell" played early doors... hey, hockey and Motorhead go together like bacon & eggs or The Sheffield Star and a sickbag!

That chant should only be used where appropriate to recognise a player that makes a difference.

Think my reservations have been proved correct so far eh.

I refuse to line Blacks pockets anymore watching what should be a top team constantly finish mid table. Why would I bother when they don’t care and I can see in August that they’re just average yet again. Are you seriously trying to tell me Carr is a Championship winning goalie ?

Ken does a good job imo. He can only supplement the on ice action which has been lacking for a few years but that’s nothing to do with him. The best way to generate a good atmosphere is, and always will be a winning team.

Put a winning team on the ice is the easiest answer to transforming the atmosphere in the morgue.

Ken is a breath of fresh air compared to the chap who did it before him.
Some of the more traditional hockey songs arent really my thing but you have to play them as so many clap along to them.
I like the warm up music as it's very dance based which is right up my street.
Bavy who does the play offs...I cant stand...so cheesy and family orientated.

I’ll never forget Ken’s classic jibe at the Newcastle fans. That was brilliant,we need more of that stuff. 🤣🤣
