Nice to finally have a 4 point weekend after the tough period that we’ve just been through. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Altrincham is an awful rink to play in, so any result out of there is great.
I’ve go to say it feels like Bulmer has finally turned up to the party, his first goal was an absolute peach, lovely to see. Talbot also looked a lot more affective tonight and Hansen continued his goal scoring form with his 8th goal in his 8th game. We’re going to need these guys firing come next weekend.
One last point, I hope Golovkovs is ok, he blocked a puck with his leg/foot and he looked in a lot of pain, hopefully it’s not too serious and he recovers just fine. We’ll need him next weekend for sure.

It’s all here. www.eliteleague.co.uk/tie-breaking-criteriaAs far as I see it, Dundee are first seeds cos they have the best win % (10 points from a possible 12), Guilford will be 2nd seeds and Steelers third. The one thing it doesn’t mention is anything about the top 3 seeds choosing their opponent. Because of this, I assumed we were back to the old 1st plays 8th, 2nd plays 7th etc. The best thing is, the seed order is decided by win % (fair enough), but if equal, the next tie breaker is group points. If Coventry win their final group game, they’ll be on 0.500, the same as Glasgow but will jump Glasgow’s seeding on points. They played 2 extra group games!!! What a joke of a competition this is.

I think the fact that there was a new player coming meaning someone will be a scratch has helped a lot

We really need more info on this! It was a bit surreal he just appeared from near the Storm bench - not sure how he got onto the ice. He then stood on the ice for a bit, seemed to cheer to some guys in the crowd. The ref came over and he was ejected. Might have been Quist. No one recognised him?

One simple question as regards the GRS. Just trying to see what people think. Bar the fact that the Panthers players seem to have 29 shots on Manchesters goal yet the SOG figure in the box in 'Game Summery' says 28 -3 goals = 25 saves.
What does the Goalie Changes box actually say? Only GINN came off near the end of the game but when off and when back on again etc...this is always very unclear. ie) why pen 37 down when he does not change and one assumes the 'change' box should refer to netminder change (eg. Carr off for Whistle) and these on/off times should be noted elsewhere as has happened in the past.
Thoughts?

The 3rd was an ENG, so in theory Ginn only faced 28 SOG, but also should only have -2 goals against him. First time I've ever looked at the goalie change part of the gamesheet and it's naff, it doesn't seem to add up to the goalie ToI that I can see. 56:57 I believe is when he first left the ice and 58:10 is when we scored the empty netter and he returned and never left after that. However there is only one time between that, 57:26, which doesn't make sense: 56:57 - leaves the Ice (I think) 57:26 - ? 58:10 - Returns to the Ice after ENG They are missing a time in there as he can't simultaneously leave and return to the ice at the same time!

The gamesheet doesn't show the 3rd goal as an ENG (Storm only have 5 players listed as on ice) confusingly, but it should be fairly easy to tell... The fact that the SOGs don't tally is immensely frustrating. That should be dead easy.

Well documented that I do stats. I notice errors on the official site. I email them to the organisers so they can alter or tell me why I am wrong but they refuse to answer either way. Be it to tell me to thanks or other. Been told how nice a person the man is who operates this system, is a leading official for Elite yet his only action as regards people trying to help is take you off the list of folk who receive the results service. Nice sports officialdom we have, you agree? Three other stattos in the midlands area can't fathom anything in the 'Goalie Changes' box nor get answers to questions as if we are insulting.
Pity they do not embrace fellow followers of the sport or want to see what's going wrong.
