Who to start in goal. Irrespective of results versus Storm and Flyers I would go with Whistle at The SkyDome. Unfortunately, whoever starts will probably be subjected to a night of pressure from a Blaze team that is starting to score goals in bunches. If the Blaze fans get behind their team I can see us having our grapes crushed. The Grapes Count = Blaze 5 : Panthers 2.

Is defeat preferable to having our grapes crushed?

4-3 Blaze, 72 seconds remaining. I think we've panthered it again.

Ah well, looks like they had a go. Just a bit galling with another late goal and leading twice.

As an aside, it’s weird that there’s still so little to glean from any team’s league performances so far, mostly thanks to the CC.
Technically, nothing is out of sight and everybody is still losing without settling in properly. My assumption is that Belfast will properly hit the front first and pull away, barring it suddenly all coming together for Steelers down the stretch - which could always, always happen - but it’s a strange feeling, surreal even that virtually nothing is how we know it as UK hockey fans.

Best I have seen the Panthers play this year even though they lost. Great to see Bulmer score and Coventry are a good side to watch this year.

Blaze are an extremely frustrating side this year. Can’t fault their weekend; they know how to roll up and get down to it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them lift the CC.

Didn't really expect to win tonight, away to a team on a good run who are quite free scoring. Closer scoreline than seemed likely.

Blaze scored some good goals, they dominated the faceoffs and made us pay on the powerplay. Again, we had a lot of possession, even with being poor in the circle, but we didn’t do enough with the possession when at even strength. Herr continues to be the standout.
Bulmer finally got a goal, his 1st competitive goal in 15 games. I was still dissapointed in him tonight though. He offered a Coventry player out after they made a check, but they wouldn’t take the fight, then Coventry’s #15, Broll, offered to go and Bulmer wanted nothing to do with him. What message does that send to the Coventry team, when we’ve got players backing down. Panthers teams of the past may have had a lot of flaws but for the most part we’ve always had a team that has stood up for itself, it seems like that’s not the case now.

Still need that Loiseau replacement don't we? Yeah And Bulmers,Malmquists and Quists. For as long as the Malmquist, Hansen and Golovkovs line is the only one producing, Malmquist is staying. He's doing okay, not brilliantly but he really isn't just drifting aimlessly around like others. He deserves longer. He wasn't signed to be a Top 6 forward either.

Malmquist is decent enough as a third line player. That line is playing well lately, so OK for now. Looks need to be cast elsewhere...

Connelly last night was shocking he made some very poor plays and lost the puck in some bad positions. Blaze are a good team and we played better then e have been playing but Connelly was driving me mad
