I'm guessing a load of freebies for this one.
Who is actually paying for this game?

Wouldn’t go if you paid me. Hope it’s absolutely deserted...
Bitter and twisted? Maybe... Loving this season and reading all the comments.

Lowest crowd ever incoming 😂 It certainly has everything going for it to be. Meaningless game Worst team in recent memory Little entertainment value Apathy is higher than ever Forest at home Season ticket seats still not on general sale(It usually entices a few to be able to sit in better seats). If it wasn't for me having to pay I think id go just to count the actual attendenace(sad, I know 😂)

Lowest crowd ever incoming 😂 The discontent and apathy amongst Panthers fans has grown significantly this year, but it has been there for a number of seasons, it’s just not been acted upon by our crack management team because attendance numbers have held up until now. To me this absolutely confirms that money has been the soul motivation for the management, but now at last people have started to vote with their feet. It has been said on this forum that no-one in the Panthers management reads the cage, well if they had they would have seen the discontent growing over the past few seasons and could / should have seen the reading on the wall and if the Supporters Trust couldn’t wake them up to reality, then they deserve everything that is coming. I fear the fan apathy towards the club is now in danger of going into free fall and will be very difficult for the club to stop it, with things like drums being too little too late, this kind of thing should have been done years ago. One poster on here who went to Saturdays away game in Cardiff, commented on how connected the Cardiff management, players and fans looked to be - NB / GM haven’t a clue on how to do this and over the years they have simply been lucky with a conveyor belt of city centre casual fans keeping the numbers up whilst blinding them to the fact they actually didn’t have a clue. Indeed over the years they have actually made it clear they don’t value the fans (only their money) with things like shutting down the supporters club, putting up the prices in block 18 when fans tried to do something to improve the dire atmosphere etc etc. NB can go on Facebook live and claim it’s all down to the DOH to get it right, but the reality is, it’s down to him; he is ultimately responsible for the success (and impending failure) of this club, but instead of driving the club forward, getting the fans on-board and showing the passion required to move forward, he comes across as someone with little hockey knowledge, zero passion for anything other than profits and a total lack of awareness to fan feelings. Whilst ever he is responsible for this club we’re going nowhere; there will now be some desperate new initiatives to try and stop the fan exodus, but sorry Neil - for many it’s too late, you’ve been greedy, absent and apathetic - you should have woken up years ago! Edit: mods, please move this to another thread if you wish. I was responding to the comment about “low attendance”, but some may feel it has taken the game thread off track, my apologies.

Aside from the off-ice politics and fan feelings, back on the ice . . . I actually think that this could be quite an interesting fixture. If there are some contentious calls it will be good to compare the reactions of Wallace and cardboard cutout Strachan with the passion and fire of Stormbringer Ryan Finnerty. The Grapes Count = Panthers 2 : Storm 1.

This season is the first time in 20 years that I have missed games, not going to this one either, not spending money on a dead rubber game that we have to play multiple times because we only have 3 teams in our section. saved £76 over 4 games.
and Grrr pity you cant send that post to NB its brilliant.

The cup structure this year must be the worst we've ever had, they couldn't have made this game less attractive if they tried. They really must think people are idiots and won't be able to see how pointless these 8 - EIGHT! - games to eliminate no one are.
Judging by the numbers of ST returns which have appeared since yesterday, it's going down like a fart in a lift.
Whether Panthers are playing badly or not, the club and league deserve to get rinsed on this one for their utter stupidity in the summer.

A fantastic post this, agree 100%. Yes since the treble its just been a continual slide downhill, with the odd "marquee" signing to get a few more bums on seats. I dont think that is going to work any longer. "Unfortunately" still in Portugal and Lisbon. Neil Black GOOOO

I'd like to add something to that.. in 20 years I've had two meetings with Neil Black one was when I was once on the supporters club committee and the 2nd a few years later attended a meeting with him up in the bunkers. In that first meeting he catogorically said he didn't like the idea of season tickets as that only benefits the punter as on a per match basis it works out a lot cheaper (that was around 2002) so you can imagine ST were a hell of a lot cheaper than they are now.. The 2nd time he was asked about how GM runs the club and he didnt know a thing about it!! And even said he will look into it.. cant remember the exact details of the conversation now as it was well over 10 years ago.

You may think that 'that little forum' is full of whiners and malcontents and that their opinion doesn't matter much, but you have to accept that those people are as much a part of your fanbase as those who only see the team through gold-coloured specs. Even if you couldn't be bothered to do it yourself and gave it to the latest social media guy, or tacked it on to whatever it is Dan Green does these days, take the temperature of the room and see if these people might have an actual point in some areas.

Losing fans is not good for a sports team and it works in two ways too. When i was really into Panthers, for years I would encourage other people to go and lots did,I reckon I intoduced at least 40 or 50 people to go to Panthers games and so did my family. Now i don’t even mention it to people anymore and if anybody did ask me now I’d tell them not to bother because it’s crap these days. So if that’s just me,multiply that up by all the fans that have walked away and what are Panthers losing....a lot !

I can remember Mr Black saying you should never ever pay cash at a Panthers auction or similar. Presumably he doesn’t trust Gary. Wise man !
