That was a team on notice if ever I’ve seen one.

Always going to be a close game against Cardiff considering we’re working from the same budget 😏
Great road win, back it up with a win at home and get a streak going.
Wasn’t at the game or watching the webcast so can’t comment on players but good to see Hansen hit the ground running

Maybe Blacky should tell them they're sh-not very good every week?
Good result, double it up tomorrow.

Game sheet shows it went into OT and Devils had one shot and Carr had one shot on him....Christ we lost again?

What to make of this, I do not know.
TBH, in some of our defeats, I thought that the effort was there, it was just scoring the goals that was the problem, we had teams pressure (Those 2 home games against Glasgow is my case in point)
I hope that this is the start of something now, thanks to The Challenge Cup, we are still early in the season.
Belfast lost on P/S at home to Manchester. For the 2 teams expected to run away with the league, they're not exactly setting things alight.

Hopefully Carr is in nets tomorrow although I think he’s played better away than at home and we can come out with another win. A good road win and I thought we battled really well, just need to keep the concentration for a full 60 mins.

I didn’t see the game so cannot comment on how we played or what changed, but something changed so well done Panthers. Cardiff are a good team so beating them is always very positive. The challenge now is making this win the start of something positive.

If they won 8-1 you’d moan they didn’t get a shut out like a couple of years ago...

Great result for us last night. How was the game? Were Devils poor and we got lucky? Did we just play to our ability and earn the win? Did we grind out the result?

But yes, let's not get carried away just yet, first win in 7 (is it?) is nice, but they're not exactly impregnable at home lately, are they... A performance like the Devils games last year would certainly not go amiss this afternoon.

Great result for us last night. How was the game? Were Devils poor and we got lucky? Did we just play to our ability and earn the win? Did we grind out the result? You’ve hit the nail on the head, it was a grinding performance, everyone worked hard. I thought that Cardiff were very flat, I expected them to be a lot more physical up front but they weren’t. We did give them a lot of the puck but we defended extremely well as a team, we limited their chances but we did get some puck luck as well, Cardiff hit the post twice. I’m delighted that we won, however the concern still remains about some of our forwards. Bulmer should have scored last night. The puck came to him all alone in front of the net, on his right hand, no pressure on him, and he didn’t even hit the target. That has got to be hitting the back of the net. We also had multiple odd man rushes which we fluffed. The only positive in all this is that we’re creating the chances. Hansen had a good debut, a positive addition to the team.

We were very very poor last night, and with respect Panthers were no great shakers. Borefest of a game, no hits, very little skill level from both teams. You guys certainly needed that, just hope we turn it on tonight, great support from your fans, packed arena but a lousy game.
