Hopefully someone in the pipeline to replace him too otherwise we're leaving ourselves short

Totally pointless unless his replacement is 10x better and hits the ground running! And that means spending more which blacky is adverse to doing

No surprise in the choice, but will the replacements be in for the weekend, or are we choosing to play short? Sounds from Doucet like we're still looking around.

And at least the Panthers are taking early measures to fix the problems and not dallying too long hoping things will come good which they have been guilty of in the past

Very odd wording in that article Does that mean that NB has said no spares?

Very odd wording in that article Thought you meant this bit: "We’ve set the bar high, as the Panthers always do, and we will do whatever it takes to bring success to this club."

A lot of huff and puff, but little end product.

Very odd wording in that article Does that mean that NB has said no spares? Panthers were/are already carrying a spare. Do you want a spare spare? Then, if they don't win every game 8-0, maybe a spare spare spare? Throwing money at it probably won't work like that. 2 new faces soon, then. No-one can now surely moan at inaction? The consensus pick for the chop has fallen on his sword. I personally wouldn't rush into a replacement(s), but if GD is getting a new NA player, it'll be a fair few days to get the visas, work permits (or whatever they are these days). I'd rather it be that than a rushed "Quick, who's available, don't worry about the baggage?" signing. Speaking of which, what was Troncinsky like Saturday/Sunday? At the end of the day, whatever the circumstances, it's never pleasant to see a player for whom all concerned had higher expectations, including Jens himself, I'm sure, be released. This is the man's career, after all. Thanks for your efforts, best of luck in the future.

I get your point, but there were people asking / demanding 2 spare imports at the start of the season. If Whistle plays and Gospel is backup we don't have any? you look at how many games we played 2 import NM over the last 2 seasons... its Panthers trend atm, to not bench the full import quota. Part of me has this weird feeling that either or both St. Pierre and Chris Stewart will be announced. no source, just that sinking feeling

Some definitely have the ability but are yet to show it in a Panthers shirt. Not so sure about that - we will see We know some the ability. Golovkovs put up numbers in the EIHL last season. Bulmer had several years in the AHL, is ex NHL and played in Liiga and DEL and was PPG last season with Fife. You don't achieve that without being a good player. Just looks short on confidence to me at the minute

Could be very good once up to speed, but it's more of what Steelers already have when they really need a stay-at-home guy.

He was a bad signing from the start imo. Clearly on the downward trend.
It had to happen but it begs the question why we got him in the first place. Bulmer should also have been told he needs to start showing something. Malquist you can add to that list.

[its Panthers trend atm, to not bench the full import quota. Not sure what you mean. Of the 11 competitive games so far this year, only last Sunday did Panthers not have their full allowed import quota on the gamesheet. Happy to be corrected?
