Difficult one to call. Whilst Panthers are capable of making it two wins against the same opposition on consecutive nights, I have a feeling that Fitzy and his Jocks will etrn North of the Border with some tangible reward from their visit to Robin Hood Land. Predicted Grapes Count = Panthers to edge it 2-1 after overtime.

Who do we think gets the start in net tonight then?
Do we let Carr redeem himself or let Whistle put his claim in for the starting role?

Who do we think gets the start in net tonight then? Do we let Carr redeem himself or let Whistle put his claim in for the starting role? I think it's a really difficult one. I've made my point about not chopping and changing goalies, however yesterdays performance is exactly the thing that should trigger the opportunity for the other guy. Having said that, the best thing for Carr would probably for him to get straight back out there and put things right. As a side note to that. I did notice something happen that could have been the cause of the first goal last night. Not long after the goal went in there was a pause in play whilst the arena support team turned some screens around behind the goal in front of block 10. I believe they were till screens used at the bar they use down there for other events. It's quite possible they were reflecting the lights in the eyes of the players on the ice. I'm certain its the reason they were turned around and covered over. Having said that, if it was really a problem yoy'd have thought it would have been noticed well before then, perhaps even in warm ups. Maybe just looking for an excuse after the event. I'm happy with either to start tonight.

Praying for the Panthers today, let's hope they can withstand the vocal intimidation of 50 purple and black Scottish mid 30 somethings sitting behind a perspex screen.
I've seen Braveheart at least twice, I know how hard it's going to be. Godspeed Panthers, godspeed.

Whistle for me, he's been pretty good so far this season and we've seen the two rotate each weekend so no reason why they shouldn't do it again this weekend.

Whistle and for me he should be the one we are concentrating on. Let him get the time to see how he comes along rather than on a guy who will move on anyway at the end of the season. I thought this was a development season (utter BS) and if that really is the case he is a genuine chance to do that. Carr can be good but when he has a howler it stinks the place out.

Carr didn’t lose us the game yesterday, our missed chances did but his horrific error certainly compounded them. That said, Whistle should start tonight.

For Cage Forum peeps with a better understanding of the rule book than Me - was that a correct call by the official for delay of the game against Carr in the 1st period - the players appeared to seem it wasn’t?

There was a new rule introduced last year I believe. The rule is along the lines of not freezing the puck if no pressure is on from the opposition players. So the referees interpritation and application of the correct penalty were correct. However the judgement applied to decide on the call in the first place was wrong for me. Simply because I felt he was under enough pressure to freeze the puck.

All come down to what the referees deemed to be pressure on the tender. I did feel he had a second to drop and play so I can see why they gave it. I’m not sure Clan would have been up in arms if it had gone uncalled though.

2-1 end of second, our first 5 on 5 goal for a long time and a very nice one at that.

Panthers looking by far the better team. Should be more up. However the officials are leaving a lot to be desired. Purple specs this evening, La Porte and Herr all over each other, Herr gets the call. Immediately before this a Clan D-man stay lying on betteridge until a ref physically removes him, no call.
Since Panthers got an easy hooking at around 9 minute mark in the 2nd Fitzy and his bench have been screaming anytime a Panther is with a foot of a Clan man. Seemed to work at the end of that period.

Entirely uninspiring. Our ability to score summed up by the penalty shots.
One 5 on 5 goal in 4 games is woeful. Although, it was a very good goal.
Too many forwards are completely invisible.

Just a good road win again, thanks Panthers We're you personally as inspirational as yesterday? You scored half as many so maybe not. Thoughts?

Didn't go tonight, but 1 point from 4 against the Bravehearts is poor.
