See a game in which the Storm will try and intimidate the visitors. Altrincham facility might be something of an education for Panthers new guys. Hoping we can use pace on the break and find a wat past cageman Ginn. The Grapes Count = Storm 4 : Panthers 2.

I’m not showing any disrespect to Manchester, quite the opposite really, but does anybody else feel that we should rest Carr, one of Matheson, Connelly and Deutsch, and drop an import forward giving Kelsall and Hazeldine regular minutes?
Sunday is a massive game in the scheme of things, to make a statement and to build some confidence. It’s going to be tough playing in Manchester this season, as it will be in Belfast. I just feel it’s a good opportunity to show what we can do if we got some fresh players who haven’t had to slog it out in a meaningless game the night before. Thoughts?

We should play the strongest team we have available at all times.

Interesting thought, I can certainly see where both sides come from.
The running joke is that we could have lost every group match and still have the chance to qualify for the next round via this Play Off and with it being Belfast away instead of say a home game against Dundee, you definitely want as fresh of a line up as possible.
However winning hopefully gives momentum going into Belfast.
I will not argue with anyone either way

I'm making my first trip to see the storm, does anyone have any recommendations as to where I should sit?

I'm making my first trip to see the storm, does anyone have any recommendations as to where I should sit? Either the front row, or the back row so you can stand up. The sight lines are very poor.

I was going to give this one a miss due to the Mickey Mouse nature of the group stage, but Dad wants to go and it’s his birthday so I will be there as usual after all.

Have they changed the position of the camera in Manchester? The webcast view as a joke, you can’t see the near side corners, you can’t see where the puck is on the opposite side of the rink and you’ve got people walking in front of the camera. A lot of people have moaned about the cost of Sheffield’s but £12.50 for this is a joke.
Manchester will never grow whilst ever they’re in this rink.

What on earth are Manchester wearing? Is it a special or their kit for the season? Looks like they are playing in their warm up Jerseys.

They have moved the camera from between the benches to the back of the block. I doubt it will last long there for exactly the reasons you describe.

Altrincham is a unique rink and it’s tough for teams that visit it, but for building a fanbase, and attracting new fans, it’s always going to be a disadvantage.

Lovely short handed finish from Ollie for our 2nd goal, he’s really started the season well.

Lovely short handed finish from Ollie for our 2nd goal, he’s really started the season well. Was third top points scorer, top assists and generally keeps out the box. ADD: Whats got into Glasgow tonight 4-1 up away in Wales? AND DUNDEE 4-2 up over the water

Character win in the end, proper ground it out. Whistle with some really good saves and Sam Herr was brilliant yet again.

Solid workman like performance. Far from the most entertaining game but these cup games aren’t going to be I feel. Move onto tomorrow...

Good win Panthers. Webcast very poor now compared to others and the Manchester kit must have been designed by a drunk goth.
