Didn’t see the game but my friends in Fife told me Lepine looks slow and unfit, they were complimenting Betteridge though..

Lost 4-2. Having not seen the game I assume we only turned up when it was too late. Time will tell if this is a poor result or not so much.

Bulmer has had a poor game tonight, thought he'd be better against his old team. we've been 2nd best all night. they are faster and slicker than us not sure who's had the harder travel day. Fife fans got in his head maybe? Booing him every time he touched the puck. We were like shrinking violets tonight I thought and we played into their hands. Fife were gritty, physical and ratty, yet we didn’t give it back, as well as being outworked ultimately. At least the players know what to expect next time they play in that dive. We at least showed some fight back in the last 6 minutes but a poor result unfortunately.

Didn't see the game so cant comment on the performance. Cant get to down, the same as not getting too high after yesterday. Early doors, a couple of good road wins followed by a loss in a rink which is always tough.
I do have on big gripe though, hopefully if we continue to do it they can prove me wrong. It hoes back to my fears when we signed Whistle. Bloody rotating goalies!! Carr has won the first 2 games of the league campaign and only conceeded 1 last night. Absoloutly no need to make the change. Jist stick with the man in form for gods sake. Whistle may have been good tonight but it's not really the point, dont try and fix what isn't broken! As I mention, not a critisism of Whistle himself at all. I never have and never will like rotating goalies purely for fairness/game time. CC group stage is fine as it's little more than friendlies anyway, but when it counts stick with the hot nettie.

Carr should have played tonight and let Whsitle play next week in the cup. But I won’t start ranting and raving. Can’t get too high with the highs and low with the lows this early on. Just look at the Belfast result.

Absolutely shocking performance, haven't looked like scoring all game! Dont think we've had one decent chance? Where have you been the last few weeks? Waiting for a loss? Sorry Pidge didn't realise there was a rule that you had to comment on every post, we were good last night but we were equally as bad tonight. Didn't see that performance coming, was very flat from start to finish. Its certainly not Lepine's fault either, no one stood out at all.

Not sure I buy the goalie thing. Whistle conceded 1 in his last games, Carr 2 in 2. Neither is particularly hotter than the other.
We were however woeful at clearing our zone. We were always looking at playing or skating it out of danger, but it wasn't working for us. 2nd period especially with the long change we were being given the run around.
One little thing was Connolly lifting his skate to allow the empty netter 'go in' when the Flyer was offside. Looked that way watching it in person.

Poor performance tonight.
Couldn't get anything going offensively and Fife played very well and were very effective against us. Kept us to the outside, 1st to the loose pucks and gave more effort. Took their chances relatively well, we seemed to collapse completely once they entered our zone and we kept allowing them to screen Whistle, and we screened him ourselves too.
I don't know the SOG's but Whistle faced a lot of shots tonight and I feel he did well. Could've easily been like the Steelers away game where everything was going in, if it wasn't for him.
I thought the officials were horrendous again, complete embarrassment to the league. It's not why we lost though. We were outplayed. We can't and won't win them all, and we should all know fife are a good team and will definitely cause the "Top 4" issues. Will they break into the Top 4? I don't know, but I'd say they have a better chance than the likes of Guildford, Glasgow and Coventry.

The loss tonight is disappointing, Wallace said after the game that he didn’t think all players were dialled in, and ultimately that may have been the difference.
We can’t dwell on it, every team in the league is going to lose games, especially on the road, 4 points out of 6 on the road is an ok start. Next weekend is going to be just as tough though. Let’s keep positive.

Can I ask... Did Golovkovs (Gloves) sit the team penalty for 'too many men'- it states (19) on GRS after T, so assume so. So is this right that although Loiseau had a delay (face-off) call, Hazledine sat that one out, otherwise why is (13) showing against that penalty after Loiseau number is shown?

Don't know about the first penalty, but for the 2nd it was that Loiseau took the penalty much to his chagrin, but Hazeldine sat it for him. Not sure why Hazeldine sat it though.

I’m not losing any sleep over this result - these results will happen - Fife are no mugs. I think it’s worth remembering that the majority of folks think we are a 4th placed team at best.
I’d be more worried if I followed the Steelers - from 4-1 up to scrape a 6-5 overtime - they are leaking goals like sieves and a lot of ‘knowledgeable’ fans have this team as potential League winners and no lower than 3rd!!

Every team will lose this year. It’s about how they bounce back. I could be wrong but the year we won the league we didn’t lose 2 in a row right? That’s what makes champions, team character like that.

Early season losses happen, as people have said its about how you react to it. I’d rather lose a game now when it’s easier to catch up on points than in Feb when it’s not

I think a face off violation is a bench minor, and any on-ice player can serve it. This looks like it has now been corrected on the game sheet.
