And while I'm on, I see that 2 of the goals for Panthers had a Dundee penalty timed at exactly the same time. Neither is recorded as a PPG, what was the story on these? Presumably the goal stood, the penalty was assessed and Panthers then went on a PP? I note that the first one, the 49.42 goal, the offending player wasn't even on the ice when the goal went in and the penalty was assessed? I'm a bit confused, maybe the highlights will help?

Watched the webcast, I think 1 goal was scored on a delayed penalty. I'm not sure if the penalty is still recorded in that instance. Although to be honest I'm not sure why it wasn't a PP goal as I thought we were already on the PP, then the hand was up when we scored. That resulted in the 1st penalty ending and the delayed call starting. It was a few days now though so I could be well off. Perhaps it was 4 on 4 with penalties at different times, thus the non PP but the delayed call then kicking in. I think i've just confused myself. Something along those lines anyway.

This is why I struggle to follow the stats side of things when we have no communication plus weird scrolling that only they can decifer.

Watching the highlights, a few thoughts:- 1st period:- - that camera work is a bit jerky! Nearly lost my dinner a couple of times! - sublime pass from Lacho for the 'goal' that got washed out... it looked like the glove was over the line to me, but not conclusive from that angle - nice 1st goal from Perlini... quick reactions. - beautiful breakaway by Loiseau, only just denied. He really deserved a score from that... - bit of a silly penalty from Rheault, albeit he was understandably annoyed at getting sticked in the face and his helmet knocked off with no call from the refs... 2nd period:- - Dundee continuing to present some dangerous offence - good graft from Rheault for Herr's goal. This is the kind of play we hoped we see from him last season... could we now be seeing the Jon Rheault we were originally expecting? - another bit of heroics from the Dundee netminder (who appears to have specialised in that on Saturday!) against that 3-on-5 short-handed breakaway... another good Panthers effort denied. 3rd period:- - good goal from Dundee... can't fault Carr too much, not with what looked like half the Highland clans charging at him all at once - Lacho... right place, right time. Nice. - Deutsch is turning out to be one hell of a sniper! Two fast-skating teams, just Panthers were better overall. Nice to see that if there's a gap, they seem to be pretty good at exploiting it.

Highlight watching, I agree with Shaggy a fair bit. Lovely goal from Lacho. (Phrases you haven't heard for a while...) He looks a different player this year. Herr looks a find and a half, and he's lit Perlini up too. Those 2 on ice for 4 of the 5 goals. 20 and 95 on for every goal scored and conceded. The 4th goal is scored at 52.38 (7.22 clearly showing on the counting down clock as the goal goes in) not 49.42 as per the gamesheet, which probably means that the 49.42 penalty was indeed called at 49.42, and killed, but the goal time on the 4th is wrong, as the goal was a straight 5 on 5. 14 very unlucky, but he certainly looks like he belongs.
