Does anyone know where you can find the SOG stats for each game as the EIHL website seems to have a shot map but no shot count? Yeah that's all it is.. its upto you to count the dots š

SOG as they used to be counted are the figures in the saves columns GK1 and GK2, and add that to the goals scored. Wides and blocks never used to be counted, but are now recorded as a measure of offensive play.

Also does that basically take away save % stats from the goalie as it would mean nothing now.

The way save % is worked out is total shots (including those that resulted in goals) minus goals, divided by total shots. Wides and blocks have no relevance here. Nice to know, but not here. Unless you have those numbers, you canāt calculate proper save %s?

Or are the numbers per the game sheet āsavesā as are needed, and if you add the goals scored to them, you get shots?

Or are the numbers per the game sheet āsavesā as are needed, and if you add the goals scored to them, you get shots? As per GRS. In our last game we were the AWAY team so count 'saves' from GKB 31 and add goals we let in 1 (seen in 'goalie summary', the GA) equals 32 in game summery SOG 32....so goals plus saves = SOG The wides and blocked are counted but not in this count on the sheet. You will find these only on the map (those with the dots) of shots 'at goal' as I would call it. They are a separate issue. Only issue , apart from these not always tallying with the players SOG. Is the bottom right hand column on the GRS, the 'goalie changes' NOT being at all clear. On this game we have start times for both net minders obviously at 00.00 and end as 60.00 but then at 59.46 BOTH (GKA and us GKB are penned as doing something. You can only go off or come on. But at a time we were winning Guildford took their netty off , not us surely. the time and what for is not understood so is confusing to people. I know Guildford returned to the ice 14 seconds from the end (59.46 but this summing up is obscure for anyone not knowing what actually happened and reading the sheet for the first time.

Just to make my two points clear as to 1. Figures not tallying up. 2. The difficulties understanding the GRS on goalies 'changes'.
1. In general, I have found that if you add up the wides, blocked, goals and saves. They do not equal the Shots taken by players when you add these up. You have a column for SOG and shots. SOG player column should equal the teams SOG obviously. The other shots column is when you must add the wides and blocked shots. Take your pick and have a go. Less there is a couple of dots on top of each other (some nearly are) there is at times discrepancies. In the end, the GRS will show the actual saves/goals for SOG which is all I care for.
2. In the Guildford game, the netminders went in at 00.00 by 58.04 the Guildford netty came off. At 59.22 there was a time out. Then by 59.46, this time was recorded into 'Goalie changes but BOTH 40 (Fullerton) and 37 (Carr) penned at this time. Then at 60.00 game end, that time is recorded. Surely no one would see when Fullerton came off initially or that 59.46 was when he returned. You can see that his total time on ice was 58.18. However, in-game the recorder jumped the gun and put 58.04 at one stage when he DID first come off. The only reason I understood he came off at that time. Looking at a sheet, should it not say when coming off then back on again? When Fullerton then came back on 14 seconds from regulation time end the 14 seconds were added to the 58.04 to get time on ice corrected as 58.18
Minefield.
I realise that people are doing their best but when you're trying to gather what's happening OR advising officials of what seems wrong, trying to help. They don't email you back at all and annoyingly when your furnishing information that is seen as correct and they change what was wrong on the site but don't respond with any thanks.
