MOM Jakobs. I think one or two were writing him off even this early.

Good start to the league campaign, solid road win and from the scoreline (with limited twitter updates) you’d assume a good defensive performance.

I feel a sense of confidence. Coventry beating them last week should give us confidence. I think Guildford have only played 2 games so far compared to our 6 so hopefully our fitness levels will de us through. 3-1 Panthers It's nice to be right. Didn't watch the games so I can only base this off what we can infer - Good to see Carr get a comepetive win - Good to see Carr and the D keep it down to 1 goal - Good to see our discipline got better after the first - Good to see Quist be scoring already - Good to see 3 different scorers - Good to see Jakobs get off the mark as he's the one a lot of singled out so far - Good to see a win against a team with a lot more natural chemistry away from home Over all, good!

Probably better following the Elite OS game sheet though (which may still be revised) even though I still can't follow the net minders detail. Originally Guildford net minder time in net was 58.04 changed to 58.18 (change of 14 seconds, oddly same as the 'goalie change' column states 59.46 as a change (14 seconds from 60 mins full game) stating both net minders too. so apparently their net minder was out for one occasion of 1.42?

Yes they corrected it as Fullerton came back on with 14 seconds left, as was a face off back in own zone. Well done Panthers, fairly solid performance in a rink which don't think that they win too often in...

Just seen the goals....Jakobs showed his class. Wow Netminder would probably want it back, but certainly carried the puck nicely. Good that he's on the board. Quist's was a great finish. Good start.

well after a shaky start we grew into the game, Guildford were the best in the first and Carr looked a little nervous, once that equaliser went in we were better. very end to end stuff and Carr made some great saves. could still have gone either way until our third goal. all in all not spectacular but a workmanlike win. good amount of fans from us aswell.

Still can't understand the 'goalie change' box though. Not very clear and putting both minders down for a time. Those damn wides and blocked shots never add up also on the maps.

A solid performance and a great result against a tough team, in their barn. Guildford came out flying in the 1st, we took some cheap penalties, to which they took advantage, we did well to keep it at 1-0. In the 2nd and 3rd we got a grip on the game and showed some quality, Quist’s finish was lovely. The main thing that stands out me is they continued working hard alllllll night, even at 3-1 up. I know some players haven’t made a huge impact on the scoring front yet but whilst ever they continue to work hard, they will have my patience. Carr made some nice saves tonight as well and looked much more assured after the 1st period.
One final point, Sam Herr, what a player we’ve found ourselves, he’s brilliant at handling the puck and working it out of the corners, but his work rate and ability to win the puck back is a brilliant asset, top player. He had a great game tonight, along with many on the team.
Overall, a brilliant night and away trip!

First 15 minutes they were all over us, scored what I thought was a soft goal and kept up the pressure. We then got a powerplay opportunity that although we didn't score on, gave us some momentum and we ended the period on top which carried over into the 2nd.
1st goal was solely down to a slip by a Flames d-man though, gave us a 2v1 - Golovkovs sped away and fed Quist for the tap in.
Jacobs goal (our 3rd) was a cracker.
Carr improved as the game went on and the team worked hard around him too. Solid win that.

Started slowly and abit sluggish, Carr wasnt filling me with much confidence for the first 15 mins then something clicked and we looked alot more fluid.. carr made some decent stops.. yet again Herr and Quist continue to impress me.. fick and Matheson were outstanding on the back end never put a foot wrong. It ended up being a proper workmanlike performance.

It ended up being a proper workmanlike performance. Not often that was said last season. No and early days but we have tenacity this year and if we lose the puck we are fighting to get it back. Our transition got better and better as the game went on.. not seen Herr have a bad shift yet!

Not exactly I was behind the goal.. Jacob's deked inside took the shot early when Fullerton didnt get set and beat him five hole great goal

Does anyone know where you can find the SOG stats for each game as the EIHL website seems to have a shot map but no shot count?

Jakobs carried the puck a few times like that against Sheffield last week without reward, I thought some of the criticism of him was a bit unwarranted. Personally I think our European skaters have demonstrated some really good movement compared to their NA counterparts of recent years. Very good win for Carr and the Defence. A really nice solid win. Oh and I really like Sam Herr already, character in spades.

Like I said regarding swedish players, tru and find one who doesn't skate well.. quist shouldn't be that good a skater for his size..
