This is probably the worst time we could face Belfast.

Depends which way you look at it. Coming off a lose is never ideal . Panthers go into this game with a bit of confidence too.

My favourite thing about this is wannabe2 started a thread on steel talk asking “are the Steelers as good as Belfast and Cardiff etc”
The arrogance astounded me and then they go and lose? Sometimes I love a little bit of karma.

They're clearly getting a good going over today, but they've started reasonably well, results wise.

Anybody expecting changes at Sheffield sometime soon They are missing two import D to long term injuries now though in Johnson and Brocklehurst and the D wasn’t their strongest suit to start with. What a shame eh. 😆

The King of Sheffield apparently giving it large to his own subjects after winning there with Clan 😂😂😂 cupping his hands to the crowd on a lap round the rink.

Cup or no cup 5-1 against a mid table team is very poor

A new one tonight for me on the GRS. A tripping penalty called and a DIVE penalty. So both Guildford and Fife sit out 2 minutes in the sin bin. Should it not be one or the other?

Don't see it so much anymore, but used to see 2 mins each get called quite a lot. The dive part is more making too much of a meal of it, isn't it? I always quite liked that rule.

RULE 138 – DIVING OR EMBELLISHMENT DEFINITION: A player who blatantly embellishes a fall or fakes an injury in attempt to draw a penalty by his actions. i. A player who embellishes a foul or pretends to have been fouled by an opponent will be assessed a minor penalty. Basically you can be tripped but make a meal of it.

I can accept that. Was just wondering if refs generally avoided the embellishment part as the actual cause was a trip penalty anyway. Leaving the player tripped looking a mug trying to 'make the point'.
Trying to fool the ref when there was no trip at all seems to not get noticed much and thus not get the much-deserved penalty of embellishment on that occasion.
As long as the right call on one or both is made correctly and is used by all referees properly.

I've seen both penalties called at the same time in the NHL before.

A double call is actually part of the reason the bench clearance occurred at Coventry....Cruickshank got called for it after Levers hooked him, lost his cool, got kicked out and the rest is history

Crucshank tripped I think it was Marc levers. Then he argued with the ref I think and went at K Wall.
