Same score deficit as yesterday, difference being that Sheffield conceded four.
They are fearsome going forward, mostly, but their defense will derail any silverware campaigns going by tonight.

Well that was an embarrassing performance.
Think we'll get 3rd when the real action starts.

Ho embarrassing getting played off the ice by a team with half the budget and a goalie they rejected!! Where were their 'superstars' tonight

Good response after last night, and entirely even-stevens for the weekend in points and goal difference.

Yes, St Pierre especially was invisible tonight. Much like his D. Were there any actual penalties called for the Connolly incident?
First 2 games for the detailed stats, and 18 goals and loads of penalties. 😂

Great result just what we needed after last night. Whistle was outstanding, how they didn’t want him I don’t know, but he’s ours now so I am happy.
Loving the speed of the team and the counter attacking works well. Thought Herr and Golovkos had good games in that respect. Quiet and Perlini both took their goals well.
On to the Steelers, Very good going forward and the post hit and crossbar could have changed the game but looks like we had the luck of the bounce today.
Davies and Connelly are typical Steelers signings, how they didn’t get a pasting earlier on I do not know. Davies “accidentally” bumping whistle every time he had the puck I don’t know how he got away with it. Connelly punching Deutsch when he is down is just wrong and I hope he is on the end of beating next time we play them.
How their goal stood I also do not know, but highlights might show something different.
Also just seen on Facebook, Davies took off the goal after the game and threw the pegs in to the crowd. Says it all about him really. Can see a ban coming his way.

If a footballer launched a corner flag into the crowd like a javelin he wouldn't play again before Xmas!

Lobbed it fairly gently, didn't seem to hit anyone, and it was immediately returned via a steward. Not the brightest thing to do by a long way, but hardly crime of the century. Be interesting to see what the league do.

Great performance...we rode our luck at times but looked deadly going forward.
I actually like the fact Steelers have Connolly and Davies in their team as the game certainly had spice...hopefully it can being the rivalry back to life again.
Whistle was superb in goal

This is how we have to play to be successful. Kept shots to the outside, commuted in the forecheck. Made smart plays all night.
Herr has to be captain for me. Lead from the front and already looks like getting his offensive upside we were promised going.
Perlini looked like the player of 2 seasons ago and Lacho had his best game in a long time. Even threw a cross check when it was scrumming around the neck.
Whis deserved that win. He was excellent but helped out by the team protecting him well and keeping his sight line clear.
After last night, they needed to come home and show something. That they did.

Was it Ryan Shmyr ?

Noticed that the EIHL twitter account had a nice picture report the win, decided to make a couple of alterations: Given that at any possibly opportunity Simms / Shuff love to roll out the picture of 'The King of Braehead' scoring on Kowalski, hopefully this can be our version!

Expecting Bans for Deutsch and Connolly (the scummy one). Maybe a ban for Davies if the goal peg throwing occurred (it's an automatic game penalty during play and I'm sure DOPS will be interested to look at it).
