It's been publicised well enough that Panthers have done a deal with Notts County Cricket Club to give Panthers season ticket holders entry to a couple of Outlaws Twenty20 games but did anyone here realise the deal has been reciprocated?
I'm a Notts CCC member and I've just had an email newsletter confirming Notts members can get tickets to the Cardiff and Coventry pre-season games.
Forgive me for being cynical but it strikes me Uncle Gary has said something like 'yes, we'll give Notts members complimentary tickets in return but dont advertise it too well and not until just before the Cardiff game'!
Guess there aren't too many Notts members on here but didn't want anyone to miss out.

I haven't received an email from Notts as you describe. I was about to say 'have Notts only sent emails to their members who are also season ticket holders for Panthers' but how would they know. I'm thinking about going on Saturday so shall hold fire to see if I get anything. Were they free tickets being offered or just discounted.

"The offer of tickets has been on the Notts web site for last fortnight or so, subject to availability" Its an easy target to knock GM, although sometimes quite legitimate. This time I dont think that it is necessary.

So Panthers fans get freebies to competitive T20 games (all things are relative here, Notts & competitive are a moot point this year!). Notts CCC fans get freebies to Panthers pre-season friendlies??!! Doesn't seem quite right does it?

On a seperate point, looking at the start of the season in terms of cost, the way it’s been organised is ridiculous.
We’ve got two pre-season games against teams we will see throughout the season. Then we’re starting off the competitive season away in Sheffield, where we take a lot of fans, followed by a cup against them, which, again, people will want to attend. Then to top it off we’ve got 5 leagues games, all away, before we see our first home league game.
Looking at it from the perspective of the league, where they want to see bums on seats, how is that schedule affordable?
The cost of pre-season games should have been much cheaper and, imo, we should have looked at having a home league game on Sunday 1st September.

Also I ma not that bothered about seeing teams we will see plenty of times. I actually looked forward to seeing continental opposition. The driving force of course wil be cost.

Well that's a bummer :-( I've just paid for two tickets for the hockey and I could have gone for free with my cricket season ticket!

Reciprocal deal with Notts Outlaws or not, Panthers should simply have priced the Devils and Blaze home games at around a fiver every ticket rather than their greedy usual levels even allowing for the "massive" discounts available. The costs of staging two games with fellow EIHL sides surely would be met with tickets priced at a much lower level ?
