So the only Panthers game being shown this season ( unless we get one of the cup stages/ playoff slots) is the New years eve fixture at home , which most of us will be at anyway, where as the Giants have 4 matches currently.... How can this be fair!
FreeSports’ will begin their live EIHL coverage from October. Each week when there is no live EIHL game, FreeSports will instead broadcast a highlights show. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday 30 October 1930 Fife Flyers vs. Belfast Giants
Wednesday 13 November 1930 Glasgow Clan vs. Cardiff Devils
Wednesday 20 November 1930 Challenge Cup ‘Play-In’ round
Wednesday 27 November 1930 Sheffield Steelers vs. Belfast Giants
Wednesday 11 December 1930 A Challenge Cup Quarter-Final First Leg
Wednesday 18 December 1930 A Challenge Cup Quarter-Final Second Leg
Tuesday 31 December 1600 Nottingham Panthers vs. Sheffield Steelers
Thursday 2 January 1700 Dundee Stars vs. Belfast Giants
Wednesday 15 January 1930 A Challenge Cup Semi-Final First Leg
Wednesday 29 January 1930 A Challenge Cup Semi-Final Second Leg
Wednesday 19 February 1930 Guildford Flames vs. Belfast Giants
Sunday 8 March 1600 Challenge Cup Final
Wednesday 18 March 1930 Cardiff Devils vs. Coventry Blaze
Sunday 29 March 1800 One of the final day fixtures
FreeSports will also show a Playoff First Leg, Playoff Second Leg and the Playoff Final.
Champions Hockey League
As well as the EIHL, Belfast Giants’ & Cardiff Devils’ Champions Hockey League games, which begin on 29 and 30 August respectively, will be shown in the UK exclusively on FreeSports. The channel will also cover the competitions as it extends beyond the group stage. Tags: Fixtures 2019/20, FreeSports TV

It’s fair because the Giants were more entertaining to watch last year - the crap ice hockey we had endure as Panthers fans last year, has quite rightly made Freesports decide that it may not be a good idea to feature us this year.

I take it that comment said in jest. Last year has no bearing on this years Panthers team.. you know new players, new coach .

It’s the way Black doesn’t lose any ticket sales because the only Panthers game being shown will be a sell out on NYE. Not surprising at all from an organisation that only cares about one thing.....MONEY. It’s about time people voted with their feet and showed Panthers they won’t have the pee taken out of them any longer. God I’d love to see that happen and show this money grabbing organisation for what it is !!!

How many mid week games do you have, as all the live games are mid week.

Makes sense, Sky and BT are no different with the football, load the schedule with the big name teams and put the mid table / cannon fodder on as little as contractually required.

The very name must disgust him.

I know we were rubbish last season but our games on Freesports were all decent games IIRC. Plus, we’re arguably the biggest fanbase, so in theory our games should bring Freesports the most views.
So, I’d probably say it’s nothing to do with them not wanting us on and agree it’s the club squeezing as much money out of us possible.

I’d bet my house the reason Panthers are only on once is because Black doesn’t want us on there because it will lower the crowd.

And also why did we have the home game on a Wednesday against Devils last year? It's a poor poor theory. Panthers only have one midweek game all season anyway (friday)

What so he stops away games being shown too ? That'll be his like minded mates, Panthers travel better than anyone, TV would likely reduce that And also why did we have the home game on a Wednesday against Devils last year? It's a poor poor theory. Panthers only have one midweek game all season anyway (friday) We've got 6 midweek league games at home haven't we? That's what was said in the fixtures thread anyway.

They’re doing £5 midweek games again, also when they’ve got two home games one weekend they’re offering both games for £10. That’s brilliant from Sheffield and terrific for their fans. Maybe our club should take note and give back to the fans that have been loyal to them over the last few barren years...

No chance it's the only club I know who seem to take their fans for granted in any sport and pretty much despise them! Take forest.. a tenner for pre season and free for ST holders !!.. it's called giving something back.. 3 quid discount for pre season!! It may ad well been full price.. hope theres 2000 in the arena both saturdays, with half a roster as things stand!

Basically it seems that the Steelers have to cut admission prices in order to get people through the door. The Panthers do not have that problem. As an owner would you charge punters one third of the price of a ticket when said punter is happy to pay the full price?

As an owner would you charge punters one third of the price of a ticket when said punter is happy to pay the full price? That’s true of a Saturday night to a point but even then loads of free tickets are given away. Midweek and CC games are either half empty or free giveaways. I sat next to free giveaway seats pretty much every game all season. The fallacy that the Panthers sell out many games is pure fantasy.
