Liking the look of this guy - solid career - stays out of the penalty box - first line D - puts Levine and Mathieson onto the 2nd line

Top, top signing. Yowzer, can’t see anyone on here arguing with that one.

Looks like a very, very solid signing and one I’m sure we can all be pleased with. He’s put up a lot of points in much better leagues than ours, not many goals, but he definitely strikes me as being a creative defence man. The left side of the defence is looking a lot better now as well! More signings in this mould will certainly be welcomed.

This is the type of player we haven't had for some time. A naturally offensive defenceman who can blue line the power play and transition from defence to attack. We've had many two way guys who can do the job to a certain extent. Other clubs have had the likes of Hotham, Fournier, Ackered, Roach etc. I don't think we've had a player like this since Cody Wild

Class signing.. well he must have some wheels on him.. he was part of a AHL all star fastest skater comp. Excellent work Gui and Tim.
*just waits for iginla to pop up saying hes too old*
Hopefully he has a similar impact to Fournier! Has a impressive CV!

Thought it was Brendan Connelly with the announcement! Was thinking he's not new
More than happy with this! Anyone who doesn't like this signing needs a reality check

Probably shows my (mental) age that I immediately thought of Larry The Loafer. Looks good though, strong CV.

Looks a really good addition, with him & Matheson you look to have adressed the issue with points from the back.
Both look capable of putting up numbers and have bags of experience.
If you compliment them with a bit of aggression & physicality on D then you will be a tough nut to crack while also being a dangerous offensive outfit.

Great looking signing. As said we look to have some offence from the left side of the D. Just need the right guys to match up on the right hand side now. Probably 2 stay at home types to pair up with Matherson and Connelly and somebody with legs to go with Lepine.
As a side note this almost certainly rules out Olsen and Rissling returning.

As a side note this almost certainly rules out Olsen and Rissling returning. You say it like it's a bad thing? Not particularly. Indifferent on them both. Rissling gained a bit of a hero status for his hits which meant people had an inflated image of his overall ability. He was ok but nothing special. Olsen divided opinions to the extreme at times. For me again he was somewhere in the middle. Clearly a good player but didn't consistantly look like easily one of the best Dmen in the league, which he should have. Last year our D looked ok on paper and as individuals but it didnt work as a unit. This year it's shaping up pretty well and all looks positive. Time will tell.
