Flyers will rue their missed chances. Positive is that Flyers looked absolutely knackered by the end of that game. That shortbench could be the biggest factor in this tie.

5 on 5 we were the better team. We ground Fife down and at 3-1, relentled to pull back to 3-3. Their barn is a tough place to get anything so coming back without needing to chase the game is huge. Fife looked dead on their feet. We on the other hand looked ready to play another period.
Add in Risslinga return tomorrow and then going back to 4 lines, we should have enough.
Overall, I’ll give that a B+ result

TBH, I would have taken a draw in this game last week, a 1 goal deficit, I could have accepted.
Fife were never going to be pushovers and they were going to come out all guns blazing at the start.
But we came back, I'm guessing they were told not to get to physical in the 2nd and 3rd, which was the right idea.
This game seemed rather similar to the last time we played Fife (Minus The Overtime Period)

Having said that, we have not beaten Fife in regulation time in seven attempts this season ... so tomorrow would be a good time to start.

In his last five games before the play-offs, Munson was 156/161 (96.89%); in his last eight games before the play-offs, he was 232/244 (95.08%).

We need to learn that Fife always come out very fast and will be more than ready to pounce on rebounds. That first period wasn't a good one, Fife cut through us like a hot knife in butter. However, from the second period onwards, or pretty much Stewart's goal, we seemed to crawl back and play the remainder of the game either quite evenly or on top.
Speaking of Stewart, great game by him, made some superb plays and gave us that inspiration when we needed it most. Thought Munson was unlucky during the first, our indiscipline cost us but he really grew into the game afterwards, some superb saves again.
Fife's commentators and fans though, another breed.. Worst in the league in my opinion.

After being 2-0 and 3-1 down, I’m very content with this result.
Hoping to see us finish the job off tomorrow, won’t be straightforward but if we keep our discipline, we can do this.
Hope the Fife fans have a safe journey down in their tin foil hats bless em.

Finucci will finish you off tomorrow.

Just making the drive back home. Fair result last night, expect it to be a lot more open tonight tho. As has been pointed out Fife looked pretty tired at the end and think we had another gear which could play a key part. One concern for me, I thought Munson looked pretty shaky at the start, tho did Bounce back well and grew into the game and all round had a decent game, just hope if we do make that final 4 we don’t see that again.
fully expecting us to turn up today and win but this is hockey and not taking anything for granted.
