Like those 3 would be on Doucets radar anyway. Nothing to see here. Move on.

Belfast - tweet from Adam Keefe “We’ve just received news that we’re losing Tyler Beskorowany.” “We’ve also lost Darcy Murphy.” Also Ben Lake to Belfast Ben Lake has been announced along with 6 others, no Boxhill at the moment tho’ Complete list: Ben Lake, Curtis Leonard, Lewis Hook, Paul Swindlehurst, Mark Garside, Stephen Murphy and Andrew Dickson belfastgiants.com/2019/05/29/keefe-adds-seven-giants-for-2019-20-season/If it's to believed that we are losing Brits, could there be a Boxill return. He's experienced and may want a piece of the GB set up

Penalty minutes, bans and just enough skill not to trip over his own stick. Quality signing.

Was it not only a couple of bans?
Besides if we're talking of thugs then how about Alex Penner?

Was it not only a couple of bans? Besides if we're talking of thugs then how about Alex Penner? that was back in 2010. completely different level of league now. not a reasonable argument to be honest.

Was it not only a couple of bans? Besides if we're talking of thugs then how about Alex Penner? Exactly. Springer is mild compared to players of the past, he’s still a character and he can do a job on defence. The league still needs these types of players to bring the casuals in, even if seasoned fans don’t want to admit it. I’ll be looking forward to facing the Clan and I’m sure your games against Fife might be a bit more entertaining!

Wouldn’t want him in Nottingham though, mainly because he plays defence and if he gets 5 mins off ur down a defender. Gagnon was a better d man than him, didn’t take many stupid penalties and was a tough guy, probably the toughest in the league when he was here.

I wouldn’t want him either😂But for teams that are still growing a player like him is key. Like you say Gagnon was that good a fighter and intimidated people to the point where they wouldn’t try anything stupid and he didn’t fight as much as he probably wanted to. Power forwards are the way to go though.

I was have been furious if we signed him, we already have to cope with lepine and I don't think anyone would have took him back after last season. id like a power forward, ie leigh salters, as toughness but after that there isn't much more toughness needed.

Salters was the ideal, almost 1 PPG and was tough as nails. I agree you’d want you enforcer to be a forward because of filling the gaps whilst they sit their penalties. The age of the Penner esc players are behind us now but Jeez that guy was an animal and probably one of the toughest EIHL era players there’s been. I’d assume that Tim and Gui will have know full well they need a guy to police the ice and will have a few in mind, be interesting to see what kind of team we have this year.

That’s Corey’s team, looks like a direct replacement for Saviano.

Connelly signs for Steelers, links up again with Vallerand, played together at Greenville. I guess Fox isn't worried about Connelly's 'reputation'.

So Gagnon to Storm... what are we getting folks? Some people think he's the best thing since sliced bread, others think he's garbage. I'm somewhere in the middle. He's tough. Really tough. He's not a goon really. I don't remember him taking any daft penalties really. However, he's horribly exposed by speedy forwards defensively. As a fit for Manchester, he's perfect IMO. Small rinks suit his game better.

For Manchester's rink/style of play Gagnon is an ideal fit. A real tough, smart protecting Dman who is limited by his size/bulk. He'll do real well there.
