Strachan is a solid defensive coach but not great as a head coach. If he's just back to help out and pass on some knowledge to Matherson im happy enough. Agree entirely, Strachs is a fine defensive assistant coach. It's a great fit for him & Panthers. I’m happy with Strach’s as an assistant coach,I like him he’s a sound bloke. And Mr Black likes the trusted ear to the ground too. 😉

It's the best role for him though, part time defensive coach. Will get the best out of him & the players.

Late one, but Lukacevic not going to Manchester. Purportedly because he asked for two weeks with his new born son.

If that's the case then that is really bad. Two sides to every story and that but if storm are getting a reputation like this it might stop others coming over here to play.
Hopefully he signs for someone else in the UK and shows storm what they missed.

Or put another way, he's known that the child was going to be born around this time for, what, probably 8 months? Maybe Storm said at an early stage "We appreciate that, but we 100% need you here on this date, come what may...", both signed a contract on that basis, and when Storm were asked for 2 weeks extra leave, they politely declined and told him to make his decision on that basis? Maybe they just couldn't agree, and thus had to differ? Asking for 2 weeks extra pre-employment leave at the drop of a hat is a question that can go 2 ways... Now I don't know what's gone on here exactly, but to paint the Storm owner as an "idiot" in public isn't the cleverest move.

Not a great look, but like Bob says it's only one side of the story.

Definitely says he wanted 'more' leave as if more than originally agreed. I know we don't know everything but the tweet is also a bit off calling fans and such. Everyone has a right and contract rule, so people makes their choice after that. This has happened so both need to now move on.

Not a great look, but like Bob says it's only one side of the story. Maybe they already gave him a couple of weeks grace to miss pre season and then he asked for more ? You’ve got to draw a line somewhere.

Anyone know what’s happening with Boxill? I see he’s been training with PK Subban but doesn’t have a club at the moment. Did Giants pass on resigning or did Boxy choose a different path?

Most teams have signed their roster for the season so I feel he's either retiring or dropping down to the NIHL. He isn't good enough for an EIHL team.

He isn't good enough for an EIHL team. If he's not then so aren't a lot of British players, seems to be good for 7 or so goals a season, that's a number Lacho can only dream of He's obviously not top end, but I'm surprised none of the 10 teams have found a spot for him.
