Disagree with this entirely. The players will be there, espeically at this time of year. It all comes down to Panthers being prepared to pay what they need to get the right player in, and do it quickly rather than negotiating every player down. Hopefully you are proved to be right. There are lots of players being released from AHL / EIHL training camps, but can we compete financially with Denmark, France, Austria, etc. Seems the EIHL can't compete with DEL2 wages Can’t compete ?🤔 I think you mean “won’t” in Pantherland.

I was refering to Darcy Murphy going to Lausitzer from Belfast. Can't see him taking a pay cut.

They probably have free cash whereas all our proposals have to go through Neil and be signed off. If Panthers were a football team Black would have been ousted by now!

You know football economics is a house of cards and borrowing/sugar daddies, yes? But yes, let's see if someone like Alan Hardy can buy Panthers, after all, it worked a treat for Notts Cou.... oh, hang on... I'd imagine that the wages are there to spend, as 2 weeks ago, the team were actually spending them, so they must be "in the budget" so to speak. I can also just imagine the posts on here if the headline was "Panthers sign Czech D man with a history of a truckload of personal issues and a Finnish D-man who up until 2 days ago, hadn't got a team this year".

I'd prepare to take that risk regarding ownership!

So much for yesterday's "he needs to win back our trust" rubbish. Still, they never hang around if you don't cut the mustard.

We at Devils lost Sointo today who is returning to Finland hoping to pick up a contract in a higher league, we signed Mateus on a short contract, but lately he has been our best player, big loss, but wish him well.

Devils sign:-
Shaone Morrison 6ft 4in D man, with 480 games in the NHL.
{moved into this thread because we don't want individual threads for other teams' signings... Wannabe, you should know that by now...}

Theres a reason why this guy is winding up in this league.. for the same reason why MSP did at sheffield.
Looking at his stats hes clearly on a downward spiral.
Actually dont think he d command a crazy high wage

Both today's signings look like good pickups.
In the case of Shaone Morrisonn, whose name looks like a double typo, he'll obviously be on the downturn at 36, but that doesn't prevent him being quality in the Elite League, especially given the level he's played at fairly recently. A defensive defenseman is probably exactly what they need too.

A defensive defenseman is probably exactly what they need too. So now Devils have 7 "frontline" D men, and now 16 "imports" signed (not including Mosey...) so will be scratching 2 each game? Or is someone out injured long term that I haven't noticed? And yes, I had one of his hockey cards years ago and wondered how many thousand times a day people spell either of his names wrong...

Decent Liiga stats. They needed to do something, on a run like our early season one at the moment.
