It collapsed because one of the best operators unzipped the side as Munson came on!! Rookie mistake
As for the game, really impressive again. Bolduc, Stewart and Pither are showing their class and seem to be in “playoff mode”. I could wax lyrical about Bolduc all night. I’ve always been a massive fan of players who go under the radar on scoring but do all the dirty work that others hate (Benedict, Myers etc) but he’s now found some scoring to add to that.
Hopefully we’ve hit form at the right time for a playoff push but Sheffield have down the same and on current standings, we’d have them which I’m never confident about!

Home from the match over an hour, thought I'd check the forum for comments on the performance, Gui's check and fight, Billy's stunning goal etc. Surely some other regulars went, although there were a lot of newbies there. My row and the row in front had only one regular face on each, but both were full. Good game, solid performance, lines beginning to look solid, shame if Kovacs is the one to miss out regularly. Kovacs? I for one would be quite happy if he remains scratched... have not been impressed with him one little bit. You can tell it was a decent win when there aren't many comments on here! LOL My take on it? A largely-dull first period... SOG being 6-7? - that's poor. It woke up after that... beautiful pass from Ollie for Guptill's goal, and a fair bit of good work from the rest... Billingsley's goal being the flukiest in a while! For a change, I was up in one of the boxes... it's OK up there every now and then - you get a good strategic view of the game - but I much prefer it down in the seating... too detached up in the boxes. Maybe that contributed to my lack of enjoyment of the game... because there were some good plays and happenings. Oh well... As for the game, really impressive again. Agreed re the workhorse players... and Bolduc has been impressing me more and more of late. Definitely would like to keep him... For whatever reason, we've just had no luck against Sheffield this season (whilst, for example, pushing Cardiff close every game - go figure!) so I agree. First, last and always though... I'm just sick and tired of seeing them a zillion times per season. The rivalry looks like a failed audition for "The Walking Dead" and they are just irritating now. I can't even bring myself to hate them, as some do... just totally bored of the very sight and sound of them. So please... let's not have them in the PO quarters!

I still reckon we’ll get Fife or Guildford in the PO quarters. Fife are probably only going to need 5 points from 6 games to keep Steelers in 7th spot.
